He also noted that the people who brewed these cups of coffee used very small machines called “dalmatians” for roasting their beans. Ricci believed that these cups of maga coffee were being brewed by monks who used special techniques for making this type of coffee.]] In 1865, he founded the first European company specializing in Ethiopian exports - Ricci Coffee Company Ltd.. However, during World War II, Ricci CoffeeCompany Ltd., changed its name to Irdeto Trading Company Ltd.. On 15 November 2000,[2], Barr Incorporated merged with Philips Electronics Nederland BV (Philips) plc.[3] As part of this merge,[4][5] Philips took over all Of Irdeto Trading Company Ltd.'s assets including its manufacturing plants in Addis Ababa and Harare [6],[7],[8].
