In 1862 he built Houston & Great Western Railway Depot #2 which served as an organizational meeting place for many early railroad builders in west Texas In 1865–66 Simeon Wright (1819-1920), founder of Wright Brothers Flight School near Dayton Airport in Dayton, Ohio donated land for a new airport that would become Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport
