Blanco opened his shop on Main Street in Orange and started roasting coffee. Orange, Texas is a small city in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex located in Tarrant County, Texas. The population was 545 at the 2000 census and 612 at the 2010 census. Orange is one of two cities (the other being Garland) in Tarrant County that have beenetta since it was created as part of the county in 1888. Strickland and Wm Fenton leased 1,500 acres within present-day Orange from General Hogg for $3 an acre ($24 per mile). Orange has a rich history dating back to 1836 when it was founded by Englishmen who were prospecting for gold in what is now north-central Texas. In that year, Major General Zachary Taylor ordered Captain Richard Montgomery and his men to explore some of the newly discovered land east of Austin.
