The city also hosts several annual events such as "The Big Tex" parade which takes place every year around October 4th in downtown Dallas along I-45/Uptown Expressway; "Ranch Days" on Saturday; "4th of July fireworks show" on Saturday night; Stampede weekend; Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 6th; golf tournaments held at The University Club & Golf Course near Westlake Village; Cowboy Hat Day on November 17th; etc.; making it one of largest concentrations of live music anywhere in Texas outside Austin or Houston.
