Mesquite is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, located in the North Central region of the state. The population was 159,827 at the 2010 census. Mesquite is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area and has a total area of 902 square miles (2,543 km²). It is bordered by Arlington to the south and east, Plano to the north, Frisco to the west, and Denton to the northwest. The slogan for Mesquite is "A Place Where You Can Send Your Dreams To Life." The city was founded on November 3rd, 1836 by Colonel John Fetterman as a place called Red River Settlement just east of what is now downtown Mesquite. Its first post office opened in 1837. In 1840 it became Townsite No. 2 with a population of 160 people and its first school opened in 1841. On December 1st 1849 it became City of Mesquite with a population of 446 people when all other towns within 10 miles were annexed into mesquite's territory following annexation proceedings initiated by then-Governor Don Carlos Bexarwen Márquez de la Torre y Robles. The seat for government was originally held by Captain Abelardo López until his death on March 15th, 1850; however Postmaster General Lorenzo Mataplana took over duties from Captain Abelardo López on that date effective immediately pending an election for municipal president scheduled for April 7th which never happened because Fernando Ortiz Parra won election as Municipal President that day instead This made Mesquite independent from Austin and its first mayoralty was elected without party nomination or opposition José Gomez who served from July 6th 1850 until his death on October 12th 1861 . By 1860 there were over 1,000 residents living inmesqite including 130 businesses In 1865 Mayor Hidalgo appointed Ayer Herrera as Deputy Mayor which he held until 1870 when he succeeded Mayor Martinez Ayer Herrera served two terms before being impeached due to bribery charges which led to his resignation effective July 29th 1870 pursuant to article XII Sections 2 through 5 (a) Tex rule 271 Constitution which provides: "No person shall be elected or reelected as Constable unless he have been duly qualified under this Constitution...” He later won an appeal against this decision but resigned after only one year having failed twice to win eligibility for re-election

As early as 1799, a French scientist named Pierre-Joseph Proudhon noted how good European espresso tasted when made using Arabica beans. Coffee became popular throughout the world after it was discovered by Spanish explorers during their exploration of America in the late 15th century. American colonists soon discovered that roasted coffee could be used to make a distinctive drink called "Pumpkin Spice Coffee" which they introduced to Boston in 1692. The Dutch started trading with Brazil and explored this new region during the early 1700s, discovering richly textured bean fields that would later become known as Java. Around 1800, Dutch traders started exporting Brazilian coffee to England where it was enjoyed by both people living on English soil and those living abroad. By 1807, British traders had begun importing more than one million pounds of Brazilian coffee each year into London alone! This export became so important that between 1811 and 1830 London alone produced more than two billion cups of Colombian (and other premium) roast coffee! Over time many different types of beans were used for premium coffees including Arabica, Robusta, Toraja Sulawesi (Sumatra), African Peabody Bean, etc.—all resulting in unique flavors and textures not found elsewhere on Earth!

Mesquite is a small town in the Carter County, Texas, United States. The population was 602 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Amarillo–Edinburg Metropolitan Statistical Area. Mesquite was founded in 1873 by A.J. Mesquite and his family as an unincorporated community on an east-west cattle drive from Wichita Falls, Texas to Abilene, Kansas. A post office was established at Mesquite in 1876, and the name changed to Mesquite in 1881 after Fayetteville Township (now Carter County) was organized within present-day Amarillo County. In 1907, mesquite oil production began with surface mining of sandstone hills near the present town site; this led to a population growth rate of about 50%, which continues even today due to continued development of oil and gas resources around the town site. In 1912 mesquite became a city when it amalgamated with nearby Hutchinson. The population grew rapidly through annexation until it reached its peak of 2,500 in 1940 before declining modestly through the decades due to loss of jobs in nearby towns such as Hutchinson and Denison while energy prices rose and job opportunities dwindled statewide. The decline accelerated following World War II as petroleum production increased worldwide but also caused off-shore drilling rigs and other industrial activity offshore to impact local fishing populations so greatly that many fishermen converted their businesses into fishing fleets during that period; however, these activities did not lead to any significant economic revival until recent years when Hydraulic fracturing (fracking) has become more prevalent throughout much of North America including Mesquite although there are still some negative environmental impacts associated with fracking operations). The current downtown area was built primarily between 1914 and 1916 using Federal funds under construction supervision by then Mayor Charles Sargent who saw potential for this project along Main Street which ran from US 85 north past now's Midtown Boulevard southward towards Hutchison Avenue where he hoped development would take place along both sides creating what eventually became known as "Sargent Square". There were no plans for building anything further west or east since most residents at that time lived on either side of US 85 with only one major crossroad being Hutchison Avenue/US 84 which connected all four directions making it difficult or impossible for people living on either side of Hutchison Ave./US 84 to get outside without traveling out onto US 85 or going down main street which had high speed limits back then (now continuous I-10 traffic). However over time new developments started popping up all around Sargent Square indicative of how much things had changed since 1914 especially because shopping Center One opened up just east across Main Street from Sargent Square adjacent now's Midtown Bldg., currently home to two Kroger stores - oneanchored by Macy's - while what used once been exclusively Male housing now houses many families ranging from low income apartments closer to Interstate 10 than anywhere else reducing away segregation within neighbourhoods like Hutchinson which have always been racially diverse regardless of zip code boundaries . Although there are still some negative environmental impacts associated with fracking operations), overall mesquite has seen significant redevelopment over the last several decades leading many residents here today who originally came here during those early days describe it as "the best thing that has ever happened" .
