The town was founded by Colonel John C. Marshall and his brother-in-law, George W. McKelvey, who built a small farm near the present day intersection of FM 359 and US 281. In 1903, the first coffee beans were harvested in Marshall and brought to Wichita Falls to be roasted. Coffee production resumed in Marshall in 1912 after World War I when some farmers discovered new sources of beans in Mexico City. Coffee production reached its peak during World War II with an overall average price of $1 per pound at local stores. However, due to the war effort, coffee prices decreased and ended up being about $0.50-$0.75 perpound at most local store locations by 1945. Since then, coffee production has slowly declined throughout Texas until only a few small farms still produce high quality cups of coffee today (mainly located in Central America). One reason for this decline may be that there are now more expensive options available for buying coffee than ever before; however, these same options also provide a higher level of quality when compared to older years when milk was much cheaper and beans were not as processed or graded as they are now

In the early 1900s, Marshall Coffee began exporting their coffee to other countries, and eventually became one of the most successful small businesses in Texas. The company continued to grow throughout the years, and today they are one of the largest coffee companies in Texas.
Marshall, Texas is a small town located in the Midland-Houston metropolitan area. The population was 9,812 at the 2010 census. In 2009, Marshall had the distinction of being one of only two Red Oak towns to be ranked as "Great Place to Live". According to Forbes Magazine, this designation is based on factors such as quality of life, job opportunities and educational opportunities. The first white settler in what became Marshall was William Bannister who arrived in 1836. He built a cabin on the east side of town and named it "Bannister's Crossing." By 1840, there were enough settlers in Marshall to form a Township Committee and name the town after General James Houston. The first post office was established in 1846 with Wm. Hutton as its first Postal Inspector. A sawmill was built near Marshall in 1851 by John Cramer and continued until 1900 when it closed due to overuse. A blacksmith shop also operated between 1850 and 1870; however, it closed because of lack of patronage from residents. In 1873, an oil well was drilled about two miles northeast of town on State Highway 377 and local residents formed a company to drill it which led to the creation of what is now known as ChevronTexaco Park headquarters complex housing many large companies including ExxonMobilMobil Inc., BP Plc., Shell Petroleum Company et al.. The Town took control over this structure from ChevronTexaco Park management effective July 1st 2006 From here on out all correspondence related with ChevronTexaco Park should go through the Town Manager’s Office

Marshall, Texas is a town in San Antonio County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,951 at the 2010 census. The Marshall School District serves Marshall and its surrounding rural areas. It is the only school district in San Antonio County. The first European to visit what is now Marshall was José de Urquiza on October 2, 1795. He named it after General James K. Polk's father-in-law—and neighbor of Spanish explorer Hernando De Soto—Sir John Marshall who had been killed while hunting by Native Americans near present day Wichita Falls, Texas on February 14, 1806. In 1846 Marshal was the site of a cattle drive that brought 651 head of cavalry horses across the state line into TX from OKC via Waco and Fort Worth (now Dallas). On this trip they were led by Custer's Seventh Cavalry Regiment which served as escort for General USA Commander Robert E Lee during his unsuccessful attempt to cross the Red River overland from OKC to Austin in November 1846 before returning home August 10th through September 4th following their 63 mile march from Marshall to Wichita Falls over rough terrain and several days trip through bad weather conditions including blizzards and thunderstorms with severe flooding which destroyed many homes along the route - again an event which has been described as one of history's most dramatic confrontations between man and nature! One can still see evidence of today’s cattle drives that stretched all across eastern Oklahoma City –many old Olyphant Road south Houston county roads intersecting these routes today serving as ghost towns! The original town site lay at what is now US 281/US 69 intersection just east of present day downtown San Antonio with a small creek running along what is nowMain Street (now IH 15) leading southeastward into marshalling area just north of today’s Paseo del Rio Elementary School building across Main Street from Union Pacific Depot where Mexican military forces under Lt Col Santos Guerra camped during their attack against American forces on November 16th December 1840 prior to Santa Anna’s arrival in Galveston Bayou seeking refuge; located immediately northwest corner current day Hillcrest Drive & FM 3232
