They decided to start Gourmet Coffee as a way to share their love of coffee with others who appreciated its quality. Today, Gourmet Coffee is one of the most respected brands in the specialty coffee industry. Their beans are roasted in small batches in Nashville, Tennessee and distributed throughout the United States. They offer a wide variety of coffees including Arabica, Robusta, Decaf®, Bolivian and Peruvian Porters. In 2017, they opened their latest store location in Fort Worth, Texas which provides them with more space to sell their products and grow their customer base. In recent years, growth in both retail sales volume as well as jobs have offset some declines experienced within municipal government revenue from tax collections from properties within City limits used for public services such as parks, libraries, fire departments and water systems - making Live Oak one of the most economically vibrant cities in Texas without sacrificing quality of life or livability for residents or visitors alike. In spite of these challenges - which continue to be many - LiveOak remains an important community hub serving more than 12 square miles inside City Limits with over 175 businesses located there employing over 3,000 people directly or through contract work arrangements with other companies located throughout southeastern Texas."

Live Oak is a small town in the Tarrant County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fort Worth– Arlington Metropolitan Statistical Area. Live Oak was founded in 1872 by John Cline and his family as an agricultural community on what is now FM 727. The original post office was renamed Live Oak in 1895. In 1907, Cline donated land to build a new high school, which opened in 1909. In 1940, Live Oak became an independent municipality when it merged with Arlington to form the Arlington-Fort Worth MSA. In 1984, LiveOak voted to secede from the MSA and become its own municipality again. In 2000, Live Oak adopted a resolution proclaiming December 12th National School Lunch Day in commemoration of America's First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis' dedication to helping children enjoy good meals during school lunch periods throughout her life. The resolution also celebrates Lewis and Clark High School's role as one of the first middle schools in Texas that served students with federal funding for lunches through the National School Lunch Program
In 1827, the first white person to live in Live Oak was James Fenton. He and his family set up a small cabin on a knoll overlooking the bay. The Fenton family was replaced by several other families over the years. In 1876, Houston entrepreneur Sam Houston bought land along Live Oak Bayou and started leasing it out for fishing, hunting, and farming purposes. By 1890, Live Oak had become an important commercial center due to its proximity to Houston and its rich resources. After Sam Houston's death in 1896, his son Anson Houston took control of the business.Houston renamed Live Oak "The City of Roses" in 1913 because of its many Roses that grew thereabouts.
