The Little Elm Naval Station has been a part of the Texas Navy since 1959. The station is home to the United States Fleet Forces Command and is also responsible for conducting Naval operations in the Corpus Christi Bay area. In 2004, the Little Elm Naval Station was renamed USS Enterprise (CVN-65) after Rear Admiral Frank A. Carp. The name change took effect on October 1, 2004 and recognized Enterprise’s contributions to Operation Neptune Spear, which was conducted during the Iraq War. Since its inception, USS Enterprise’s deployments have included support of both multinational and bilateral exercises with navies from around the world. With over 140 occasions where she has participated in sea operations, she has demonstrated her worth as a naval station in Texas and across America. USS Enterprise is one of just a handful of ships that can lay claim to havingcuelled every US war since World War I. She served as flagship for Carrier Battle Group Tenth Fleet from 1996 until 2006 when she was transferred to Commander Fifth Fleet at Yokosuka Naval Base Japan following Operation Neptune Spear. In celebration of her centenary year in 2013, USS Enterpriseaguely participated in RIMPAC 13 taking place off Hawaii between May 30-June 3rd 2013

Little Elm, Texas is a small town located in Midland County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,895 at the 2010 census. It has been noted as an Unincorporated community since the 1930s. Little Elm is located on the banks of the Trinity River and is home to many businesses and churches. In 1878, William Hargrave built a log cabin in what is now Little Elm and named it after his birthplace in England - Elmira, New York. During World War II, many of the locals worked for Boeing Aircraft plants in nearby Seattle and Tacoma. One of these employees was Ed McMahon who later founded McMahon Bodybuilding & Fitness business in Little Elm. The town began to grow rapidly during the early 1900s when farmers started moving into the area from surrounding counties. By 1910, there were over 100 residents living in Little Elm. The first post office was established in 1912 and served until 1951. In that year, it moved to its current location on West Main Street. Many of the buildings still standing from this time are examples of simple wooden frame structures with no more than two stories tall and typically held up by only four posts or pillars supporting them roof-wise (except for one building which stood until 1984). In 1925, a sawmill opened in Little Elm and quickly became one of its most important businesses. Local lumber companies continued to operate until about 1960 when all production ceased due to technological advances such as tractors that could do it better than hand logging with chainsaws etc... Lumber prices also declined during this time so much so that some families had to sell their homes multiple times just to afford enough money each month for food.. In 1951 a fire destroyed much of downtown Little Elm including most of the local post office; however firefighters were able to contain the blaze before it reached any residences or shops within downtown limits In 1957 another fire destroyed approximately 90% of downtown buildings including most importantly those used by local newspapers; however again firefighters successfully contained this fire before reaching any dwellings or stores within Downtownlimits
The little Elm neighborhood in Dallas was founded in 1876 by a group of Scots-Irish immigrants. The area became known for its produce, and the first grocery store opened in 1879. The Elm community grew quickly and developed into a commercial and residential center. In 1912, the city of Dallas annexed the Elm neighborhood, making it part of the city limits.
