There’s no question that coffee has been around for centuries. But how did it get its start and what is the difference between coffee and other beverages? Coffee was first brewed in Ethiopia about 3,000 years ago. The beans were ground and mixed with water to create a drinkable form. Ethiopian Jews would travel throughout the Middle East to trade goods and purchase spices which in turn gave rise to coffee production. Coffee became popularized in Europe during the 18th century when people started traveling more and needed something to wake them up before going on their adventures. During World War II, coffee was rationed so cafes didn’t serve too many cups per person because it would have caused disruptions at military bases where troops would be served black coffee instead of white or decaffeinated brews. After the war, people began appreciating good quality roasted beans again as they returned home. This led to Starbucks being founded in Seattle in 1978 as an independent business selling pre-ground, roasted beans from small roasters all over America. In 2002, Starbucks merged with Britain’s KFC Corporation which made it one of the largest food companies in the world by revenue alone. Today, Starbucks reaches into every corner of the globe with over 190 countries serving its delicious cup of Joe!

By the 1920s, coffee shops had become popular throughout the city, and local farmers began selling their beans direct to consumers. Today, Lewisville's large population of coffee lovers make this town one of the most important nodes in the global espresso scene.
Lewisville is a small town in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, located about 25 miles (40 km) east of downtown Dallas. The population was 11,812 at the 2000 census. Lewisville is home to Texas A&M University and two hospitals: Baylor Scott & White Health and Parkland Memorial Hospital. The town also contains a shopping center, a movie theater, and several small businesses. The first settlers in what would become Lewisville were two families from Louisiana who came through Ellis County on their way to prospect for oil leases in the area in 1859. They named their new settlement after General Sam Houston because he had been instrumental in helping them find success with their discovery. The community grew rapidly during the 1860s and 1870s as many farmers arrived to settle around the newly founded churches, schools, stores and hotels. By 1880, Lewisville had a grocery store and sawmill as well as six houses - four of which still stand today. During World War II, Lewisville became an important post-war military base due to its strategic location near Fort Worth Motor Pool and other military facilities across the stateline into Texas. Due to this importance, many businesses typical of postwar towns such as banks and restaurants closed down during the war years while others continued to function but declined in size or opened new locations. In 1960, when Fort Worth was transferred fromubbuilding command to United States Military Department Headquarters Command Area Central Command (USMCA), Lewisville emerged as one of three major post-war communities within that command area - along with Arlington Heights and Mesquite - thanks largely to efforts by then- Mayor Tom Couchman Sr.. At that time there were only a few hundred residents living within easy commuting distance of United States Military District Headquarters Command Area Central Command headquarters at Fort Worth Motor Pool; most of those residents lived outside of Lewisville proper on surrounding farms or ranches where they farmed cotton or cattle until recently unchanged by mechanized agriculture brought about by technology advances since World War II! During subsequent decades much activity took place inside USMCA HQA’s boundaries; however much peripheral infrastructure – such as transportation arteries around HQA – remains largely unaltered throughout all these years despite increasing vehicles/populations associated with modern warfare exercises/activities conducted numerous times inside/outside HQA boundaries each year! This combination has resulted in some rather bizarre sights over time: 1) numerous high school football games taking place right next door on various parkland properties adjacent thereto; 2) hundreds if not thousands parked cars just outside Headquarters gates each week during garrison annual leave periods leading up to big yearly events like Army/Navy Christmas parties etc.; 3) people driving large SUVs thru’ HQA boundaries every day on “freeze day” simply because it takes less than five minutes for Armed Forces police officers stationed nearby (and conducting operational patrols inside/outsideHQA boundaries daily)to clear all traffic prior to landing Air Force One access points RWY 12 & 13 at Ft Worth Airport each morning); 4) numerous golf tournaments taking place right next door on various hunting preserves adjacent thereto; 5) people walking their dogs pretty much everywhere imaginable even tho’ excludes many key populated areas nearHQA boundary including downtownDallas; 6) Continuous transport operations involving HHQOA Ambulance choppers flying overhead constantly transporting patients from rural areas closeby (e.g., Flower Mound et al.) all the way into downtownDallas for medical emergencies only seconds away instead of hours or days like normal ambulance flights would typically require?...etc etc etc...It really does seem like nothing changes here anymore?!

Lewisville is a town located in the eastern portion of Travis County, Texas. The population was 9,895 at the 2010 census. Lewisville was founded in 1881 by settler John A. Lewis and his family. It became a city on December 1, 1912, after it was annexed by Austin. The city limits were enlarged to include portions of rural Williamson County in 1931. In 1937, annexation of parts of nearby Palestine increased Lewisville's population to 21,000. On February 14, 1951, the City Council voted 3-2 to annex much of Kyle County including the small community of Hill Country which had been part of Lewisville since its incorporation as a city on December 1st 1912 The history and culture of Lewisville are rich and engaging with an interesting mixture of American Indian (Creek) heritage mixed with European influence.
