The Lewisville Coast Guard Station was founded in 1933. In that year, the Texas Legislature passed a bill authorizing the creation of a coast guard station in Lewisville. The station was originally called the Lewisville No. 1 Coast Guard Station and it operated from a small garage on County Road 6 near present-day Highway 183. In 1936, the station moved to its current location on State Highway 360 east of town. With its new digs, the station became responsible for patrolling both land and water areas around Lewisville. In 1976, the state legislature passed a bill increasing the number of officers at the station from two to four. This increase brought with it increased responsibilities for the station including patrols of both land and water areas outside of town. In 1984, another increase to officer numbers led to construction of a new building on State Highway 361 south of town which served as the main headquarters for the coast guard department until 1987 when an annex was built adjacent to county road 6 which housed administration offices, barracks and other necessary facilities. The first Chief Constable of Coast Guard Station Lewisville died in office on October 16th, 1986 due to coronary heart disease caused by years spent at sea constantly traveling between ports along Texas' coastline

The station is responsible for patrol and security on the Texas Gulf Coast, including both land and water patrols. They also provide search and Rescue services in times of emergency.
Lewisville is a city in Tarrant County, Texas, United States. The population was 541 at the 2010 census. Lewisville is located on FM 1472, just east of Uptown and south of downtown Dallas. The community was founded by brothers John and James Lewis in 1868 as a small farming town on the edge of what is now Lewisville Lake. The first post office opened in 1869, and the first store opened in 1870. The name derived from an Indian word meaning "broad place." In 1881, the Lewis Brothers built a sawmill on the Comanche River near present-day Mount Pleasant; this mill continues to produce lumber today. In 1902, another brother purchased the mill from the original owners and renamed it Lewisville Manufacturing Company. The company grew rapidly until World War II when it went out of business due to difficult times in related industries. By 1945, Lewisville had grown to over 100 residents; however, manufacturing declined after that war and all but one store closed during the 1950s through 1990s. Today only a few remnant businesses remain either supplying services or local farmers with goods they produce; most people live close to home instead due to strong suburban growth around Lewisville since then (the last store closed in 2000). In 1903–1904, an act of Congress called for Federal troops stationed along Texas' border be moved into response to reports of Mexican vigilantes raiding crops east of Fort Worth while Mexicans were celebrating their national holiday Dayo de la Cruz (a day off from mining labor laws). When federal troops arrived at nearby Fort Worth en route to Camp Bowie they discovered that there were no Mexican vigilantes present – this event became known as "The Alamo Incident". Afterward many citizens traveled back into Mexico seeking assurances that their crops would not be raided again. The community's fortunes changed when oil began flowing plentifully from recoveries around Fort Worth in 1906–1907; production increased so much that by 1915 almost everyone had bought homes within easy reach of new industry or jobs available there (including those who previously lived outside town limits). At about this time also came automobiles – limousines started coming into town for social events such as dances and funerals – which led more people into town for shopping than ever before (although some still remained outside during good weather). Today's commercial center has replaced portions of what used to be rural farmland near Interstate 10 as well as several homes dating back to 1916/17 when J P Morgan & Co., which later merged with Deutsche Bank AG., leased 9 acres Northwest Side Street corner apparent site now occupied by Hutton Ford Toyota dealership (& adjacent properties) following purchase by Mr./Ms.(family name) Lee & Ms.(first initial) Butler who resided there prior thereto From whom lease originated thru Mrs.(middle initial) Ladd
The Coast Guard has been providing service to the public since 1790. In 1951, Congress created the Coast Guard Reserve to provide a backup for the Regular Coast Guard. In 1970, the Coast Guard began providing humanitarian assistance in response to disasters such as Hurricane Sandy. In 2005, the Coast Guard became a full-time U.S. Department of Homeland Security official and provided disaster relief and security services in New York City during Superstorm Sandy. The Coast Guard has deployed to multiple countries including Iraq and Afghanistan and continues to offer support globally through its international missions.

Lewisville is a small town located in Lewis County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. The name "Lewisville" is derived from the Lewis family who first settled there in 1867. The community of Lewisville was founded by Colonel James M. Lewis and his wife Anna in 1870 as a small ranch settlement on the banks of the Arkansas River. In 1872, Colonel Lewis built a log cabin for himself and his family near what is now known as Main Street. A year later, he started an agricultural school in what would become Lewisville to teach his children about farming and animal husbandry. In 1874, General John Fagan established Fort Worth Coffee Plantation north of Lewisville on the bluff overlooking the Arkansas River. This site became known as Fagan's Ranch after General Fagan's military station there during Reconstruction period in America. In 1876, Captain Wm Sargent organized a volunteer force called the Texas Rangers to suppress lawlessness and protect settlers living within Indian Territory west of Dallas/Fort Worth. Captain Sargent's unit served until 1886 when it was disbanded due to budget limitations caused by Andrew Johnson's administration. Captain Sargent reformed his unit under command of Major George Armstrong Custer on January 15th 1889 while attending an Indian treaty negotiation at Fort Washakie Creek near present-day Canadian Mount Royal National Park outside of Calgary Alberta Canada with Sitting Bull and other Sioux leaders who had been negotiate
