In addition to their commitment to freshness, each Roastery also offers its customers unique flavor profiles which can only be found at these establishments. The Hegars have been running their business since 1978 and continue to produce some of the most delicious fresh roasted coffee around. Their roast style is called Nicaraguan Sun Grown and features bright flavors of citrus with notes of chocolate or lottery tickets. They offer two different styles of beans: an easy drinking espresso blend called La Milonga Grande (a rich blend of dark roast Guatemalan & Sumatra) as well as a smoother bean called El Tigre (a medium roast from Ethiopia). Both blends are surefire favorites among locals and tourists alike! Leander is a town in Wise County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,723 at the 2000 census. It is the smallest county seat in Texas and the first city in Wise County. Leander was founded by Captain James Denton in 1847 as a post office on what is now Clear Fork Creek. In 1853, it became the county seat of Wise County after its creation from portions of Bastrop and Rockwall counties. The original courthouse was built on present-day Elmendorf Boulevard and Main Street. The greatest impact on Leander came during World War II when thousands of American troops were sent to Europe to fight for their country. Many of these soldiers were stationed here in Leander before they rejoined their units overseas. One such soldier who spent his time here was George Patton, commander of Third Army during World War II. Patton also attended West Plains College where he earned a bachelor's degree in education in 1951. After the war ended, many people returned to live in Leander while others continued to commute here for work or school purposes. The population grew again after 1990 when businesses decided to set up shop outside of Dallas because of low prices there relative to other cities within TX
