At the time, it was a very different experience to purchase pre-packaged Coffee concentrate or grinds from a distributor. Rick and Kathy were able to create a unique flavor profile for their small batches of coffee, which continues to be popular today. They were also able to develop relationships with many other businesses in the La Marque community that helped them grow their business over the years. Today, Rick and Kathy continue to make an excellent product that is enjoyed by millions of people around the world. La Marque, Texas is a small town in Midland County, Texas, United States. The population was 593 at the 2010 census. La Marque is located on the Red River of the West and is part of the Midland Micropolitan Statistical Area. The name "La Marque" means "The Market Place." La Marque has been rated by TripAdvisor as one of the best places to visit in Midland County. In 1836, Captain David Hogg and his men discovered oil shale near what is now La Marque. They named their new settlement after General Sam Houston's home state of Barbados, which they had seen on a map from France. In 1840 Governor James Hammond issued an order for all stores in Midland County to open their doors to settlers seeking land or contracts for farming purposes. By 1848, over 1,000 people had arrived in LaMarque from throughout the region. The first school was built in 1849 and the first store opened in 1851. The town saw its first Census during 1850 with 692 residents living in 40 buildings within an area measuring just 7 acres (2 km²). The post office was founded at LaMarke on May 2, 1854, and served until October 14th of that year when it moved to Terrellville due to low postage rates there at that time. On July 15th 1860 another post office east of Terrellville opened up with mail service payable through Spanish Fork (now Colorado City) which then became known as Ranger Station Post Office because Rangers were needed to protect travelers travelling through central Mexico during this period of Mexican-American War hostilities between Mexico and America; this area also includes present day El Paso County and Avila Co., Chihuahua State adjacent borderlands today's Ciudad Juarez/El Paso Border crossing south side Light Rail line ride from Parkview Ln stop South Side operates daily 9am - 8pm

However, during the 1960s and 1970s LaMarque lost its prominence as an economic center due to suburbanization and other factors. Today La Marque is primarily known for its historical significance as a Native American traditional settlement site.
