Kyle, Texas is a small town located in the Midwestern United States. The population was 3,500 as of the 2010 census. Kyle's history can be traced back to the early 1800s when it was part of Mexico. When America gained independence from Mexico, the area became known as Texas and began to grow rapidly. The first coffee plantation in Kyle was established by José María Durán in 1859. By 1870, there were over 100 coffee plantations in Kyle and its surrounding areas. The first commercial coffee production occurred in 1912 when J T Graham announced his invention of "Graham Coffee". At that time, all beans were ground fresh and sold through local merchants who bought caskets of beans from farmers near them. In 1916, Harry Fenton developed an artificial bean fermentation process which allowed him to produce large quantities of high-quality coffee at a low price than traditional methods could provide. From 1916 until 1938, Kyle's mayor was John Waddell whose political skills helped make him one of the most powerful men in town during this time period. Waddell played an important role in helping establishes many local businesses such as First National Bank and Pembroke Pipe Tobacco Company; both companies continue to operate today with strong ties toKyle’s community culture and economy. Waddell also served on various city councils throughout his career including being mayor from 1951-1957 and 1960-1964 before he resigned due to health reasons after serving several terms without interruption for nearly 50 years . In 1978, businessman Donny Lamb started planting small amounts of Arabica beans on his farm east of town for personal use only; this act helped solidify Kyle's status as one of leading exporters of premium Arabica beans within North America (the term "premium" refers to these beans being higher quality than those produced by other processors). In 1983, Lamb opened his first retail store called "The Coffee Shop" which has continued operated continuously since then under different ownership changes including that it currently operates as a full service café/bakery along with two additional restaurants - One located off I-30 just south of town across from Phillips Stadium while another restaurant is currently under construction on University Boulevard near downtown (approximately 2 miles northwest) – both restaurants will offer unique menu items specific to their location alone making it one stop shopping for all your morning needs!
