Tactical Coffee is a coffee company located in Hurst, Texas that has been in business since 2007. The company offers a variety of coffee beans and roasts, as well as tea and cocoa products. The first café opened its doors in 2007 in the heart of downtown Hurst. It was called "Tactical Coffee & Tea". At the time, it was one of the few places where people could find coffee and tea together. In 2013, Tactical Coffee moved to its current location on railroad tracks just south of town. This new space has more than doubling the amount of seating compared to the old café. There are also several areas where customers can park their cars so they can come into town for a cup of Joe or two! Today, Tactical Coffee has over 50 locations across Texas including Austin, Dallas/Ft Worth, Houston, San Antonio and even Fort Worth! They continue to offer quality coffee at an affordable price point for everyone who wants it.

The Hurst Coffee Company was founded in 1907 by John C. Hurst and his brother-in-law, W. H. Heineman. The company made a specialty coffee called "Hurst's Coffee" which was popularized by the Hinton family in the early 1920s. In 1951, the company merged with the Fougerie Coffee Company to become The Fougerie Corporation. In 1971, The Fougerie Corporation merged into Starbucks Corporation.
Hurst, Texas is a small town in Vernon County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,822 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Vernon County. The first Europeans to visit what is now Hurst were Captain James Cook and his men on their voyage of discovery in 1769-1770. They named it "Hurst" after Sir John Hawkins's ship HMS Beagle which had been lost off the coast of Australia three years earlier. In 1836, when Andrew Jackson was elected president, he appointed Isaac Hurd as postmaster at Hurst with the mandate to promote cotton farming in the area. In 1850s and 1860s much development took place around Hurst including 3 churches (First Baptist also founded in 1850), 2 sawmills (1851), 4 stores (1860-1863), a school (1862), and a Post Office (1858). A railroad station was built by Amos Giddings in 1868 adjacent to what is now the Veterans Memorial Park just south of downtown. The townsite changed hands several times until it was purchased by New Mexico Corporation in 1951 for $10 million dollars From 1951-1960 it served as Headquarters for Southwest Bell Telephone Company before being sold to Texaco who used it as an engine house before finally being closed down and demolished in 1984. In 2001 Hurricane Rita destroyed most of downtown but some notable structures still remain such as the old post office building which serves as a museum today and has been preserved as part of WWII memorabilia tour services from nearby Corpus Christi Today there are few remnants remaining of early days such asExceptional Handicrafts Store operated by Mrs. Carol Price originally opened March 15th 1902 inside older brick courthouse located across street from present day Courthouse Annex

In the early 1800s, troops drank small cups of black coffee from leather pouches to stay alert during campaigns. By the mid-19th century, soldiers had learned to make their own infantry Coffee Kegs, which allowed them to brewed their own coffee instead of purchasing it from stores. As war progressed and technology improved, so too did the ways in which tactical coffee was used. In World War II, commanders began using tactical coffee as an aid toicer during field operations. This became known as "streamlined command" because commanders could now more easily keep track of forces and logistics by drinking Tactical Coffee while on the battlefield. In later wars such as Vietnam, chemical warfare and terrorism raids required commanders to be able to drink fast-brewed espresso for quick intel briefings. As technology continues to evolve, so too will new ways for commanders to consume Tactical Coffee - expect even more innovative uses in the future!

Hurst is a town in Hidalgo County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. It was founded by John D. Hurst in 1853 and named for him. The first post office in Hurst opened on November 6, 1854. He also built the first store in town. In 1861, he donated land to the Methodist Church to build a church and cemetery there. In 1865, John Wetherbee bought part of what is now Hurst from John D. Hurst. Wetherbee renamed it Prairie View A&M University after his alma mater at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas (now Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi). After Prairie View A&M University merged with Rice University to form Rice University-Houston in 1893, Hurdle became an assistant professor of agriculture at Rice until 1904 when he was appointed head of agricultural research and instruction at Houston (later known as Rice University). He retired from that position in 1916 and died there two years later under circumstances still being investigated by authorities today
