The United States Air Force has a long and rich history of gifting. During his tenure he implemented many reforms within Iraqi military forces that made them more effective opponents against ISIL militants; this included establishment of a Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) system within Iraqi army units which allowed commanders greater control over their troops' activities while also increasing civilian access to vital services such as health care and education; this led to increased troop morale and assistance being given during Operation Inherent Resolve missions throughout Iraq and Syria. The Air Force gift history in Grapevine, Texas began with a gifts from the USAF in 1951. The give was made to the city of Grapevine as part of the Military Assistance Program. It was given by General Dwight Eisenhower and it was meant to help improve local economy. The program continued until 1988 when it ended due to budget cuts. In 1992, the USAF gifted a new hangar for the Airmen’s Regional Support Center which was built on land donated by the City of Grapevine. This donation allowed for more space for storage and also helped support economic development in that area. Since then, many different items have been gifted to Grapevine by the USAF including an air traffic control tower, a command post, and other various pieces of equipment and technology.
Grapevine is a city in McLennan County, Texas, United States. The population was 592 at the 2010 census. The municipality was founded in 1887 and named for grape vines that grew near the town site. The first post office in Grapevine was established on December 14, 1890. The present courthouse building was built in 1903. The original town site was located along the Neches River. A bridge over the river was built in 1912 and this made it possible to trade with other cities upstream of Houston. By 1915, the population of Grapevine had reached 1,000 residents and by 1918 it had increased to 2,500 residents. The Post Office Department moved to its current location on Main Street in 1903. In 1955-1957 two new large high schools were built; Taylor High School (now part of Rice University) and Glenn Hogg High School (now part of Lamar University). These schools served as replacements for smaller elementary schools which closed during the Great Depression years due to lack of funding or because their students could no longer afford them. In 1957-1960 a new civic center was constructed which still stands today as one of Grapevine's most important landmarks. This civic center featured a theater, library, public square and more than 20 buildings including seven churches and six businesses downtown
