The United States Air Force deployed gift history in Grand Prairie, Texas on October 25th, 1951. The event was held at the local firehall and consisted of a visit from the commanding officer of the USAF units stationed in the area. The purpose of this visit was to inspect air force equipment and morale among the military personnel stationed in Grand Prairie. There were also displays of USAF equipment and memorabilia from throughout history.

Grand Prairie, Texas is a city in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area and the seat of Grand Prairie County. The population was 631,844 as of the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth Figure 8 statistical metropolitan area. The first resident to call what is now Grand Prairie home was John Wesley Powell in 1872. He and his family moved from Missouri to central Texas when he became an entrepreneur with the help of his father-in-law, J.B. Thornton Jr.. In 1907, Grand Prairie began to grow rapidly thanks to its location on land that had been purchased by ranchers looking for a place to build their herds of cattle and hogs. By 1958, there were more than 1,000 businesses in downtown Grand Prairie employing over 4400 people including 7 banks and 68 insurance companies In 1976, The United States Steel Corporation (USSC) chose Grand Praire as their new site for its world's largest open-pit steel mine known as "Pony Canyon" which would produce Smelted Steel products until 1996 when it closed due to environmental concerns about lead exposure throughout the plantgemeinschaftsgesellschaft Aktiengesellschaft (AGA) – then known as ThyssenKrupp AG - still today one of Germany’s leading aluminum producers The townspeople responded by coming up with plans for a shopping mall (the present day US Bank Center), parks and boulevards, hospitals and schools In 1984, USSC leased back its rights to "Pony Canyon" from AGA for 99 years making itaband investment property subject onlyto regular corporate audits Grand praire has always been an agricultural center with cotton being king but other crops have also grown here such as corn, soybeans and wheat When I walked through my front door this morning I felt like I was living someplace else entirely! The United States Air Force is one of the few military services that deploy gift history. The USAF has a long and proud history of gifting items to friends, family and other allies. From small tokens of appreciation to large-scale gifts, the USAF has been known for its dedication to giving back. Air Force Gift History began in 1946 when Air Vice Marshal Harry "Bud" Walton assumed command of Headquarters Ninth Air Force. Walton was concerned about the lack of airpower available to fight in World War II and set out to improve the fighter force. He ordered his commanders to send gift histories and photos representing their units as well as their aircrafts home on leave with appropriate thank you cards. In 1948, Colonel Edward Halsey took command of Headquarters Tenth Air Force which was responsible for RAF Germany. Halsey wanted his forces to be able to show off their skills against any opponent so he ordered all equipment including planes, rockets, tanks and artillery pieces sent home with thank you cards detailing what had been sent home and how it had improved Allied strength within Germany. In 1950, General Curtis LeMay became Commander in Chief USAAF after General George C Marshall was promoted from Army Chief of Staff! LeMay wanted USAAF fighters stationed worldwide so he ordered all gifts sent home with thank you cards listing where each fighter was located plus an image montage documenting how this new weapon system was being used! In 1951, Secretary of Defense Richardson issued a directive ordering all branches of our military to send gifts Home on Leave! This gave people across our country an opportunity to express their gratitude for service! Many televisions were given away during these years as part of campaigns such as "Give A Little Bit More" or "Give Something To Someone You Truly care About". Gifts also included coffee mugs (the first AFB gift), handbags (the first AFG gift) or even chair seats from airplane travel! These typesof promotions continued until recently when we started receiving digital gifts again! Today's USAF Gift History starts with President Donald Trump's inauguration in January 2017 which resulted in the 2nd largest deployment ever for the USAF - over 50% more than during Obama's term! We continue our poppycock tradition by sending everyone involved in multiple deployments small tokens like phone cases or keychains but also larger items like guitars or watch straps designed specifically for use while deployed ornaments such as pendants or earrings are common now too! Our men and women serving today are some Of The Greatest Warriors This Nation has ever produced!!! Thank you for your service
