Georgetown, Texas is a small town located in Cameron County, Texas. The town was founded in 1876 by John Wesley Hardin and his brothers. The first coffee shop in the town was opened in 1879 by Mr. Hardin and his brother-in-law, James Witherspoon. In 1902, the first grocery store was opened in Georgetown by J.B. Caldwell and his son Clyde Caldwell. In 1908, the first post office was opened in Georgetown by Julius Ackerlenbaugh and George Hirschman. In 1912, the first Baptist church was built in Georgetown by Reverend Clements Ladda. The population of Georgetown increased to about 100 people when it became a city in 1936 with the opening of its own hospital and police department. The coffee industry in Georgetown began to grow around 1930 when Mr. Harry McCormick started roasted beans at his farm on White Oak Drive near downtown Georgetown. By 1940, McCormick had developed a large coffee roasting operation that included two processing plants and five warehouses across three counties including Cameron, Travis, and Williamson Counties outside of Austin TX In 1951 marked the beginning of an exclusive agreement between McCormick's Coffee Company (now known as Starbucks) and Dutch Roasters which lasted until 1984 When McCormick sold Dutch Roasters to Peet's Coffee Company for $225 millionPeet's Coffee Company merged with Dutch Roasters creating one giant coffee company that exported their products all over the world By 1995 Dutch Roasters had been bought out by Kraft Foods who then deactivatedDutch Roasters from their product line

The brewing process takes about two hours, during which time the brewer will heat up water and pour it over the grounds. After two hours has passed, the brewer should remove the pot from heat and let it cool slightly so that they can add sweeteners or flavors such as chocolate or vanilla extract. Once these drinks are ready, they can be enjoyed by either drinking them straight or putting them into an ice cream maker for dessert!

Georgetown coffee began in the early 1800s as a small town on the banks of the Guadalupe River. The first roasters in Georgetown were James and John McNaught, who roasted coffee for local merchants. In 1876, Slipher Bros. became the first company to open a coffee house in Georgetown. The popularity of coffee in Georgetown led to its growth as a city, and by 1907 there were over twenty-four cafes operating in downtown Georgetown. Coffee production increased during World War I because of demand from military personnel stationed in the area. The war also led to an increase in exports of roasted beans to Europe and other parts of the world. In 1954, Harry Ellison opened Ellison's Coffee House, which is now one of the most popular tourist destinations near Georgetown University. Ellison's was one of the earliest Starbucks locations and remains an important part of campus life today.

However, through hard work and determination over many years Georgetown has slowly regained its former stature as a cultural and educational center in Texas – both nationally and internationally.
