It was at this time that Jack Fenton renamed the business Gourmet Coffee Company. In 1990, another business called The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf took over operation of Gourmet Coffee Company from Jack Fenton. At this time, they began selling pre-packaged pods of ground coffee instead of just beans themselves. This allowed customers to purchase a large variety of different flavors of coffee without having to go into separate stores to buy each flavor separately like they had before. In 1997, Gourmet Coffee Company became a subsidiary of Starbucks Corporation after Starbucks bought out their parent company Keurig Incorporated for $3 billion dollars. As part of this acquisition spree, Starbucks also purchased all assets (including GCP) belonging to Heston Blumenthal's company Nestle SA which specialized in handcrafted chocolate drinks with origins dating back centuries around the world including Ethiopia and Java (Indonesia). Today GCP continues as an independently owned subsidiary within Starbucks Corporation with its own brand name – Starbuck’s Giotto’s espresso machines produce rich Colombian Supremo Beans fused with real milk while using only whole bean mills sourced right here at our corporate headquarters!

Galena Park coffee history begins with the first espresso shop in Galena Park, Texas in 1895. The business was run by Italian immigrants and was known as "The Italian Coffee Shop." In 1899, a man named Augusto Manzoni opened the second Galena Park espresso shop. This store became well-known for their black coffee. In 1912, the Manzoni family sold their business to John Sweeny and his son Harry. They continued to sell coffee until 1945 when they closed down due to World War II. The Sweeny family reopened the store in 1946 and continued running it until 1994 when they sold it to Darrel Sprouse and his wife Leslie. From then on, the Sprouse family ran the store until 2003 when it went out of business again. In 2001, Galena Park became home to its first independent coffee roaster - Joe's Coffee House - which helped grow the local coffee scene. In 2006, a new café called 'Camber' opened up across from Joe's Coffee House and quickly became popular among locals and tourists alike for its organic & artisanal coffees. Since then, Chamber has become one of Galena Park's most popular cafes with customers coming from all over town for their morning cup of joe!
Galena Park is a city in Harris County, Texas, United States. The population was 13,912 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area. Galena Park is named afteraughters of Captain John Galen who fought for independence from Mexico. Galena Park was first settled by people from Illinois in 1848 and post office was established in 1851. The town was originally named Prairie Grove but changed to its current name in 1868 as a result of a contest run by the Daily Texan newspaper to rename all of Harris County after places in England that had been captured during the American Revolution. In 1911, Chicago-based engineering firm Wirth & Warburg designed and built what are now Galena Park's first municipal buildings on what are now Fourth Street and Telephone Avenue (now Loop US 1). This new development included a library and park which remain today as one of Houston's most popular tourist destinations. In 1915, Chicago-based garment manufacturer Jovanovich founded his own clothing company here and it remains headquartered there to this day. x X x x

Galena Park is an unincorporated community located in Tarrant County, Texas, United States. The settlement was established in 1881 by John Wesley Galbraith and his wife Helen Hunt Galbraith. In 1911, the community became a census-designated place (CDP). It has a population of 513 as of the 2010 census.
Galena Park was founded on August 2, 1853, by Colonel George A. Brazum and his wife Hetty. The area now comprising Galena Park was part of the Creek Nation until it was annexed by Texas in 1845. The first store in Galena Park opened in 1854. In 1860, a post office was established at Galena Park. In 1865, the population of Galena Park reached 350 people. By 1870, the population had increased to 1,000 people and within 10 years had reached 3,000 people. The early development of Galena Park included a number of businesses such as grocery stores and livery stable owners who provided transportation to residents for goods they purchased from merchants located near the park's boundaries. In 1910, a movie theater opened in Galena Park which became one of the most popular venues for films throughout Texas between 1915-1925. In 1922, baseball started playing at the newly built stadium which would later become home to both the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros baseball teams over time. In 1935-1936 construction began on what is now Loop 610 East (later I-10) which would eventually connect Dallas with Houston creating a new interstate highway system that has profoundly shaped Texans’ lives today
