Frisco is located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and its downtown area includes six blocks of Fifth Street and two blocks of Main Street. The city's ZIP code is 78110. The first settlers in what would become Frisco were Frenchmen who arrived in 1796. A post office called Frisco was established in 1800, and by 1836 it had grown to over 100 residents. In 1876, Frisco became an independent municipality with a mayor and three council members appointed by the governor. In 1903, when Fort Worth incorporated as a municipal district (itself created on March 1 that year), Frisco became fortuitously placed within its boundaries as one of its borders due to its location at the junction of both Texas Routes 6 and 14. As such, it continued to be governed by ordinances passed by the Fort Worth City Council until 1914 when all municipalities within the new district were abolished except for Frisco which reincorporated into Fort Worth on November 15 that year under special legislation known as "The incorporation act". In 1940, during World War II, much activity took place near Springtown Dam due to production at nearby US Army Ammunition Plant No 11 which resulted in high levels of arsenic being released into local groundwater supplies which can still be seen today if you go downgradient from Interstate 35 eastbound near Loop 610 (which leads directly to Springtown Dam) You can also smell this gas every day from Ft Worth upwind from there too! Arsenic contamination increased dramatically following World War II and has remained an open question ever since; however most experts agree that more than just low levels of arsenic are present throughout much of this area today because various other pollutants have been introduced with it like lead and cadmium etc.. In 1947–1948 efforts began to develop a new airport about 20 miles west of town on I-35W known then as Cedar Lakes Airport but never completed because funding was not available . However plans for an airport did surface again after Hurricane Ike hit southern Texas causing significant damage late summer 2008 & early fall 2009 & eventually led to development along I-35W around Cedar Lakes Airport including homes, businesses & even schools! The airport finally opened up shop on May 1st 2013 following many yearsflight delays caused primarily by weather conditions

Frisco is a city in Texas, United States. It is the county seat of Dallas County and was founded on November 3, 1836 by General Sam Houston. The population of Frisco was 120,827 at the 2010 census. The name "Frisco" comes from the Gequiza Creek which flows through town. The first permanent settler in Frisco was Capt. John Meigs who arrived in 1837. He built a log cabin on the bank of the Gequiza Creek, which later became known as Meigs's Landing. In 1840, John Hogg established what is now called Hogg's Ferry crossing over the creek south of present-day Frisco. George Waring also settled in this area around this time and constructed a small wooden ferryboat known as Waring's Ferry across the creek north of present-day Frisco. In 1845, Isaac Neely purchased land east of present-day downtown Frisco from Manuel Antonio Sanchez and began to build an agricultural community based on irrigation agriculture using his own resources and labor only two miles (3 km) away from where he had earlier bought land from Sanchez. Neely named his community Easton after President James Kenedy (1793-1865). Neely soon realized that he needed more than just a simple farmstead to support his growing community; he also wanted it to be self-sufficient and provide goods and services for other residents within easy reach should they need them. He created a company charter with five directors - himself included - that would provide all necessary goods, services and capital necessary for such an endeavor: transportation connection between Easton and neighboring towns; banking capabilities; millinery, groceries items; mail service; building materials including lumberyards close by so people could purchase supplies easily In short, Neely wanted everything possible within easy reach for those who lived near him - something that has continued to be important today as well! He also realized that if he ever wanted to move his settlement any farther west or eastward into new territory then he would need some form of transportation link between Easton and those new areas – something that we take for granted today but were not possible during his era! So with all these thoughts in mind Neely decided to rename his company: Northern Pacific Railroad Company - still providing all these necessities today! And so Northern Pacific Railroad Company was born! After years of hard work by many people Northeast Oklahoma Road & Bridge Co., Incorporated opened up shop right next door (now part of Comcast) making it easy access to everything we take for granted today like grocery stores local restaurants etcetera
