The Forney Coffee Company was founded in 1916 by the brothers Harry and Joe Weis. The company began making coffee in a small, family-owned shop on Fifth Street in Forney. In 1940, the company moved to its current location on Main Street in Forney. The Weisfords continued to run the business until their death in 1986. The company is now owned and operated by their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Forney is a city in Tarrant County, Texas, United States. The population was 54,564 at the 2010 census. The city is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. Forney is located in eastern Tarrant County on the border of Huntley and Richardson counties. It is bordered by Garland to the north and west, Denton to the south and east, McKinney to the southeast and Arlington to the southwest. The first post office was established in 1872 by George Withers. Forney was named after General John Fenton (1795–1865), who fought with Major General Zachary Taylor during the Mexican–American War as a volunteer lieutenant colonel under Colonel James K. Polk's command. Other early settlers were Jno. Hogg (1837–1906) and his family who ranched land around what is now downtown Forney; G W Smith (1857–1924) founded a general store at what are now Fourth Street and Forty-Second Avenue; A E Goodrich laid out Lots 1 & 2 South of Post Office in 1881; Phebe Goodrich developed an agricultural market garden on what are now Second Street and Ninth Avenue southwest of town; P C Sprague built Homes #1 & #2 along Elm Street near Main Street in 1902 In 1907 Forney became one of six townships within Tarrant County when it was created from parts of Richardson, Huntley, Lakewood, Mansfield, Garland and Tyler Counties In 1912 forney lost its charter as a township but rejoined it after annexation by Dallas In 1916 fire destroyed most of Center City including all buildings within four blocks of First Avenue On May 10th 1920 Forney had its incorporation as a city with boundaries defined by FourthStreet/Ninth avenue SW corner ElmStreet Northeast corner Main Streetside . Population reached 100% on November 16th 1930 . By that time center city had been completely rebuilt with new brick buildings erected replacing old wooden ones . Three years later fire destroyed most everything again including all building within five blocks Now only two small blocks remain standing

Forney is a town in Johnson County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,711 at the 2010 census. Forney was founded in 1872 by John Forney and his family. The first post office in Forney was established in 1875. The community of Forney grew rapidly during the early years of the twentieth century as agricultural production increased and new homes were built to replace the older ones that were destroyed by fire or tornado. By 1920, Forney had a population of 5,000 and it became an important railroad junction for the Central Texas Railroad system. In 1925, plans were made to build a dam across Cedar Creek near present-day downtown Tooele which would have created an artificial lake that would have provided water supply for the community and also generated electricity for local mills. However, this project was abandoned due to opposition from local farmers who believed that they would benefit more from developing land downstream rather than building an expensive dam. In 1941, World War II began and many people left Forney to serve in the military; however, after the war ended most residents returned to their homes. In 1951, Interstate 35 was completed through Forney and changed many aspects of life within the town; however, few changes occurred until 1990 when a new high school opened in downtown Andalusia which greatly increased its population since then. Today, much has changed within Withrow since it last held census data; such as development along I-35 which has led to significant growth within downtown Andalusia (which had been largely undeveloped), as well as additions of several thousand jobs over just over 10 years resulting from advances technology and manufacturing industries moving into Andalusia throughout that time period - bringing much needed economic stability and momentum both locally AND nationally!
