The Texas National Guard was activated on November 15, 1935, to support the government of Texas during the Depression. The first unit to be mobilized was the 332nd Infantry Regiment from Euless. The unit served in World War II and Korea. In 1957, the State of Texas activated the 1st Cavalry Division at Euless and also placed the National Guard units within that division into brigades and wings. In 1966, a National Guard brigade headquarters was authorized in Dallas and a National Guard wing was established in Fort Worth. On July 1, 1987, all national guard brigades were merged into one national guard division with Headquarters at Austin-American Airlines Airport as its new operational center. The present-day state of Texas has 133 active duty military branches including: 9 airmen wings (4 ANGs), 45 artillery battalions/heavy artillery batteries (22 Artillery Brigade Commanders), 1 special operations battalion (1 Special Operations Brigade Commander), 3 Marine Battalions (2 Naval Aviation Battalions), 2 Army Brigades (1 Armored Brigade Commander) and 8 Reconnaissance Wing commanders including 11 Air Force Reserve Commander's who are Angels Flight Thunder Warriors Light Attack Squadron pilots; One additional auxiliary service branch is the Department of Criminal Justice Services which provides law enforcement services statewide through constabulary forces located throughout Travis County while two state prison systems operate out of Cooke County Jail in downtown Austin; In addition there are 4 probation officers divisions operating out of 16 county jails across Tarrant County; There are also an abundance of civilian volunteers available to help with everything from cleaning up city streets after hurricanes to providing security for major events like Presidential inaugurations or state elections. It’s no wonder that there have been many expansions since 2005 when Governor Rick Perry signed into law a bill making it illegal for any member or officer of the Texan Guardsman Association or any other volunteer organization specifically engaged in El Paso County political activity to receive campaign contributions from individuals or PACs not registered with their respective localities - effectively shutting down much if not all political activity by these groups outside those served within El Paso County limits! This restriction came about as a result of an investigation conducted by former Attorney General Greg Abbott wherein it was determined that members and officers associated with several Colorado-based organizations had made large donations totaling $100,000+ to Perry’s gubernatorial campaign Committee – activities which had become increasingly difficult due to restrictions placed upon them by then Controller Dan Patrick subsequently! It is interesting to note that this prohibition does not apply just within El Paso County but extends statewide - meaning citizens residing anywhere else in Texas can still contribute money directlyto candidates via PACs without fear thereof!

From January 10 until April 7 they were engaged in discharging their cannon upon an engagement with Mexican forces that resulted in the death of two Californians and six Mexicans. In 1865-1866 Battery B served as a detachment during the siege of Austin by Confederate troops under General Robert Ewell while other batteries watched from Cowtown Hills east of town. Aftermath: One killed; two wounded; one missing presumed dead; four men taken prisoner by Confederates who referred to them as "Dirty Dozen." On October 25, 1886 a detachment from Battery B participated in a skirmish at Guadalupe Pass near Fredericksburg south side mission complex when seven shots were fired from Confederate batteries along front line fence into Mexico land next to some cotton fields leased by Mexican government for military purposes only

In 1901, a millrace called the Brazos River ran through downtown Euless and provided water for many homes and businesses.
