Euless, Texas is a small town in Midland County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land Metropolitan Statistical Area. Euless is located on FM 1960s east of downtown Houston and west of Sugar Land. Euless was founded by John C. Euless on May 12, 1872 as a post office and community settlement. The first store was built in 1875 and named "Euler's Store" after its founder's brother-in-law, Julius Euler (1824-1909). The post office closed in 1902 but continued to be used as an agricultural center for local farmers until it discontinued operations in 1941. John C.'s son Harry Wertz opened a grocery store and feed store in 1916 which became one of the largest grocery stores in Texas before closing shop due to World War II shortages of food products. A new grocery store was opened adjacent to Harry Wertz's old business location on FM 1960s east of downtown Houston in 1951 by rancher Artis Gilmore who also operated a country club across the street from his property until his death in 1984; Gilmore's heirs continue to operate Gilmore's Country Club today as well as their ranching operation. In 1951, Moody Companies bought then owned the original Post Office building from Harry Wertz & Son for $1 million dollars which served as Moody Company Headquarters until it sold its holdings to TXD Systems Corporation effective January 1st 1978 for $36 million dollars making Moody Company one of the largest real estate companies ever formed with over $100 billion worth of assets under management as of March 31st 2019 according to Forbes magazine In 1965 TXD Systems Corp renamed itself MCD Incorporated when their parent company Texaco merged with Mobil Oil Corporation becoming Texaco/Mobil Industries Incorporated . MCD later changed its name back to Euless Lumberyard when that company merged into Dow Chemical Co., inc., now DuPont plc., effective December 15th 2006 having been headquartered there since 1911 following incorporation by David Rockefeller’s Kuhn Loeb & Co.. On October 17th 2008 Dow announced they would sell their lumberyard operations including Euless Lumberyard and all other related businesses including construction materials retailer JB Hi-Tone plc.. On November 4th 2008DuPont announced they would close down all production at their remaining plants worldwideEffective January 1st 2009 these closures were completed resulting in the loss Of more than 600 jobs throughout Dupont’s global supply chain

Euless is a small town in Midland County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,869 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The first European to visit what is now Euless was Juan de Fuca in 1592. A trading post and mission were established here by Fray Marcos de Nava in 1795. The post office was named after Euless Creek which flows through the town. In 1836, General Sam Houston's forces destroyed Fort Brown near Euless Creek and burned down much of the Adobe Walls community while under way to attack San Antonio. In 1886, an act of Congress designated the townsite of Euless east of Clay Road as a Federal Reserve District station on the Santa Fe Railway line. The first train passed through Euless on December 12, 1886 when it arrived from Dallas with goods for New Mexico Territory (now Arizona). In 1907–1908, construction started on what would become Baylor University's main campus at what is now Waco Street and Interstate 35W just west of downtown Euless creek.. The original building that still stands today - built in 1928 - served as dormitories for Baylor students during those early years until a new main campus was constructed adjacent to that area in 1966/1967
Euless, Texas is the smallest city in Texas and has the smallest population. Euless was founded by a group of Texans who left Amarillo to found their own town in 1881. The first post office at Euless was opened in 1885. In 1907, the city annexed the neighboring town of Sweetwater.
