In 1881, Johnnie Dixon opened his business in town and soon became well known for supplying firearms to citizens of Euless and surrounding areas. In 1907, Mr. Dixon donated a Model 10 shotgun from his collection to the town hall as a thank-you for their support during the World Series that year. That same year, Mrs. Dixon also donated a Model 10 shotgun to the town hall as a thank-you for their support during her husbands war efforts overseas. One of the most significant gun donation events in Euless’ history occurred on October 14th, 1949 when two handguns were delivered by mail from Reno, Nevada and purchased by Mayor Harry Hogg from Rufus Jarrell at auction at City Hall. These handguns were designated as gifts “to help subsidize our city’s defense against any possible attack by communist China” and are still stored at City Hall today! Throughout its long history, Euless has been supportive of its local police force with many donations being made such as new patrol cars or other equipment necessary for law enforcement purposes. In 1998, Mayor Hogg presented an Old West themed dinner theater inaugural gift from his personal collection of firearms to the city hall restaurant in celebration of its 50th anniversary! A number of initiatives have been taken over time towards improving safety within schools including becoming “ GunFreeSchoolZones” where weapons are not allowed on school property (though this policy has since been relaxed). currently there are Zone locations located at both Dallas ISD campuses; Mid County ISD; Plano Eastside Independent School District; Richardson Consolidated School District; Flower Mound Independent School District; Arlington Heights Consolidated School District; Waxahachie Independent School District and Grand Prairie ISD – all while keeping kids safe by providing security patrols on each campus throughout the day!

It is the county seat for McLennan County and is about 20 miles (32 km) north of Houston on I-10 and FM 1960. Euless was founded in 1881 by John Wesley Ewing as a small farming community on what is now Loop 610 South near Corpus Christi. In 1907, it became an important military base during World War II due to its location close to then-Major General Billy Mitchell's airfields south of town. The city also played a significant role in the oil boom that began in Midwestern America during the 1990s; many major companies, such as ExxonMobil and Texaco, have their headquarters here.

Euless was founded in 1881 by the combining of two small communities, Eula and Selma. The town was named after Texas Senator John H. Euless and his wife, Lillie Henderson. In 1909, the first post office opened in the town with a population of only 100 residents. By 1920, the population had grown to 1,500 residents and in 1923, the first school closed due to overcrowding. In 1938, the cotton aristocracy of Dallas moved their families to Euless to escape the Dust Bowl during World War II. The influx of luxury cars and people changed much of what once constituted “small-town life” in Euless. From then until its closure as a town in 1984, Euless experienced rapid growth that included several new subdivisions and businesses called for an increase in services including water supply, sewerage, schools and more hospitals than ever before. During prohibition time (1920-1933), business activity revolved around smuggling alcohol from Mexico into Texas through various means such as air freight or riverboats. On November 16th 1920 three men were arrested for violating Prohibition laws at a public transport stop on IH 35 just east of present-day downtown Euless when they failed to produce proof that they were actually drinking from a California winery cooler filled with 151 proof bourbon instead of beer which they had planned to sell undercover at $2 per bottle. This event is often cited as one reason that Prohibition ended in Texas rather than across America as many initially thought it would do; however it did not lead directly to repeal but rather grew out of state law changes made following prohibition which increased taxes on liquor while also increasing penalties for those caught violating prohibition statutes
Euless was founded in 1836 by John E. Sprague and his wife Anna L. Sprague as the first town in what is now Texas. It became a small agricultural community with a population of about 100 people in 1840. The town passed into private hands until it was annexed by Dallas in 1876.
