Small batch coffee production has been a tradition in Dumas for over 100 years. The first small batch coffee house was opened on West Elm Street in 1904 by Mr. and Mrs. John Saucier. In 1912, the first commercial grocery store in Dumas opened with a small shop called Dutch Bros. Coffee and Donuts, which continues to be open today as the Dumas Grocery Company. The first espresso brewery was established in 1976 by Angelo Cocco and his brother-in-law, Dino Bortoluzzi, at the old Damon Printing Shop on Main Street. In 1992, Marco Guzzanti founded Roam Coffee & Cafe on North First Street with two locations - one inside of the old Masonic Temple and another outside on Dearborn Street near Brush High School. Over time we've grown into one of Texas' largest smallbatch coffee businesses - with more than 25 cafes across seven states!
