In 1951, the Dickinson Coffee Company merged with the nearby Haskell Coffee Company. At this time, Haskell became known as Dickinson's "Maga" coffee housedue to their focus on maga beans. Maga beans are a type of Arabica coffee that is roasted using amethod called roasting point control. This method allows for a higher roast level without over-roasting the bean. Maga beans are also often used for Turkish coffees because of their unique flavor profile. Today, Dickinson's maga coffee shops continue to serve up some of the best java around!
