He roasted his own beans and served them fresh from the roasting line inside his small business until 1978 when he sold the business to Leroy Blackmon Jr. Blackmon ran Central until 1984 when he passed away. In 2007, Michael Mauer took over as owner and CEO of Central Coffee Roasts. Under Mauer’s guidance, Central has become one of the most popular coffee roasters in Texas with their signature blends being enjoyed by those who love good bean-to-cup tastings as well as those who appreciate great customer service. While all of thesedetails contribute toCentral Coffer's success, it's also important to remember that this community institution has been around since before there were internet cafes or Starbucks! Back in 1957, local farmers would bring their beans into town for processing and sale at Johnnie Dixon’s store – now known as Central Coffee Roasters. From there, things grew steadily - within a few years not only was Dixon selling beans directly to consumers but also starting up his own printing press so that clients could get their ownographed cups (yes - we have pictures). Needless to say, this grew quite a empire - and today Central still offers amazing cup after amazing cup of delicious java without any extra work on your part whatsoever...except maybe waiting around for your order!

Cleburne coffee began as a small, family-owned business in the early 1800s. The first coffee shop in Cleburne was opened by father and son John and Daniell McClure. In 1865, Mr. McClure founded the Second Baptist Church in town, which is now known as First Baptist Church. In 1886, John McClure's brother Frank bought the business from his father. The brothers continued to run it together until their death in 1937. In 1945, they sold the business to Pappy & Bess Cline who ran it until 1978 when it was passed on to their daughter Betty Cline who operated it until her death in 1984. It then passed down through families until it was purchased by Bob Seligman in 2001. Bob Seligman started trading Coffee & Cigars at 527 Main Street back in 2001 and has been serving up delicious cup of Joe's ever since!
Cleburne is a city in and the county seat of El Paso County, Texas, United States. The population was 147 at the 2010 census. It is named after James Cleburne, an early settler and rancher in what is now Cleburne County. In 1836, General Antonio López de Santa Anna ordered all Texans to leave their homes except those who had artillery fire protection duty on the Mexican side of the Rio Grande. Our people had no artillery protection and so were forced to leave their homes. James Cleburne, one of our people, moved his home about two miles (3 km) east of where we now stand and started a homestead there. His wife lived with him until her death in 1881. They raised six children there: John A.), James W., Mary C.), Wilbur F., Laura E.,and Pendleton B.). In 1907, the town was renamed Cleburne after Colonel John J. Cleburne (1844-1928), general in World War I and governor of Texas from 1919-1920 who served as Commander-in-chief of American forces in Europe during that conflict; he also founded Clear Creek Oil Field northwest of town on land donated by his father-in-law, oilman Harry Humble Pierette (1863-.1945). Colonel Cleburne's military service included participation in the Mexican–American War (1846), Waco Siege (1876), Red River Expedition (1910), Bull Run Campaign (1775), Spanish–American War ( 1898 ), Moro Rebellion(1914) and World War II as Commanding General 1st Infantry Division United States Army Pacific Theaterof Operations; he received numerous awards including Distinguished Service Cross for heroism at Yalta Conference; Legion d'honneur for his assistance to French Jews during Vichy Occupation; Bronze Star Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster for combat operations near Burma/Myanmar during 1942 offensive known as Operation Market Garden; Air Medals with three ribbons - First Class - Eagle Award - Second Class - Air Medal With Four Stars - Superior Combat Achievement Citation

In 2006, Starbucks bought Dutch coffee house Caffe Nero for $2 million.
Cleburne, Texas is a small town located in the Collin County, Texas region. The population was 1,851 at the 2010 census. The community is named for General James B. Cleburne who fought in the Mexican-American War and then served as governor of Texas from 1876 to 1880. Cleburne was also an early settler in what is now Cleburne County. The first resident of Cleburne was John Hance who arrived in 1836. Hance owned a farm on the present day corner of First Street and Elm Street. He sold his land to David Brown in 1839 and Brown donated it to the Methodist Episcopal Church where it remained until 1907 when it passed through ownership succession to Mrs. Lillian Shuler who donated it to Baylor University where it remains today. In 1907, Mrs. Shuler organized what became known as "The Ladies' Auxiliary" of Baylor University which raised funds for various school projects including building a library for Baylor University which opened its doors in 1911.. In 1928, Drury Coal Company began operations near Cleburne with head office located at 711 Prairie Avenue SW . In 1933, American Electric Power Corporation (AEP) leased an adjacent coal mine from Drury Coal Company and soon after AEP started producing power from that mine as well . At this time, there were only two housing developments - Grandstaff Estates on State Highway 281 north of town and Hillcrest on Old US Highway 83 east of town - both developed by Jeptha Dye between 1923 and 1927 . In 1937, Post Office #1 opened at 6th Street SW ; however due to World War II service postal services were discontinued throughout much of Collin County until 1949 when they were reinstated within municipal boundaries . On November 25th, 1947 Hurricane Janet roared ashore west of Kilgore just south of Cleburne providing some initial flooding but no damage; however rainfall continued over several days leading up to the next storm surge produced by Super Typhoon Diane which struck landfall late Sunday night ferrying water overland across Sam Houston Reservoir into Cleburne on Monday morning .. A total amount excess rainfall amounting to 45 inches (1 metre) was reported within one hour after landfall .. With no end in sight for either storm surge or flooding woes residents quickly erected sandbags along creek banks hoping against hope that emergency response would arrive before too much worse occurred .. However little did they know that Super Typhoon Diane had indeed become Hurricane Ike prior landfall .. After developing into a powerful typhoon with winds up to 185 mph (290 km/h), Diane made landfall about 15 miles northeastofcleburne unloading water onto Sugar Land Bayou before making her way back ashore.. resultant loss rate resulting from Ike being more intense than Diane resultedine mudslide affecting residences along Palo Alto Road SW between Third StreetSW and FourthStreetSE during portions Of Wednesday October 10 thru Friday October 12 2009
Cleburne was founded in 1836 by Captain James H. Cleburne and his wife, Elizabeth. It was a small town located on the banks of the Brazos River. In 1860, it changed its name to Huntsville to honor General John Hunt who had led Texas into independence from Mexico. The city was renamed Huntsville again in 1907 after World War I veteran Major General David C. Hooker who had served in Europe and supervised the Army's return to America.
