Cibolo is a small town in San Antonio County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,335 at the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1853 by Major Samuel Cibolo and his wife Catherine Caldwell. It was named for General James Bowie's ranch in what is now West Texas. In 1875, the first post office opened in the town.
The Cibolo Creek Country Historical Park preserves the history of Cibolo, Texas and its people. The park is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except for holidays.
