The United StatesArmy has a long and rich history in Cibolo, Texas. The first US military forces were stationed in the area during World War I, and the present-day Army presence can be traced back to 1881 when two companies of mounted cavalryman brigaded together to fight Indians in what is now Travis County. During World War II, the Army created Camp Bowie to house wounded soldiers near Austin. In 1951, the Army moved its headquarters from Fort Sam Houston to Fort Bliss on an 83-acre tract east of town. This location was perfect for housing 1,500 troops and their families while they underwent medical treatment at various military hospitals across the country. In 1985, Camp Bowie became home to Central Command Headquarters (CENTCOM) after it was transferred fromaguardia national airport south of downtown Dallas. This move marked the beginning of a new era for Fort Bliss as CENTCOM took over many of the command responsibilities previously handled by Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). In 1992, Fort Bliss joined fellow installations Joint Base San Antonio–Fort Worth (JBSA) and McAllen Air Force Base as one consolidated installation known as “The Coalition Forces” under then-Chief of Staff Gen Ricardo Sanchez. From there, it goes all the way back to 1945 when General George Smedley Butler donated land for a cavalry academy that would later become Baylor University. The current Military Academy campus began construction in 1971 and is located just outside Cibolo on 210 acres adjacent to Baylor University’s main campus. Since its inception, Baylor University’s Military Academy has graduated more than 200 cadets who have served in every branch of service throughout America and aroundthe world!

The United States had started manufacturing artillery shells in 1915, and they soon became an important part of American warfare. The British also began manufacturing artillery shells in 1915, but they were not as important because they were not able to hit targets very far away. However, after World War I ended, armies all over the world started receiving cannonballs as gifts from civilians. Cannonballs were usually filled with lead and shot, and they would be thrown at enemy troops or tanks. This type of gift was often sent as a thanksgiving present for battlefield success or for helping friendly forces win battles. After World War II ended, both America and Great Britain stopped manufactured artillery shells completely. However, other countries such as Russia continued making them until the early 1990s when they finally stopped production entirely citing fears that their technology might be used by terrorists instead.

Cibolo is a small town in Texas located about 25 miles east of Midland on I-10. It was founded in 1881 by brothers George and Jesse Cibolo, who were ranchers and farmers. The population of the town peaked at 1,500 in the 1940s, but declined to 350 by the early 1970s. Today, Cibolo has a population of around 100 people. The town got its name from a Native American word meaning "place where wild cattle are found." In 1881, George Cibolo became interested in breeding cattle and decided to move his ranch into what is now Cibolo. He named his new property after his home state of Colorado – Cibolo County was founded that year by General James K. Polk with land grants from Mexico given to Ulysses S. Grant as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. In 1898, when Texas became an independent country, it appointed John Wesley Hardin as its first governor. Hardin issued an order proclaiming October 6th as Texas Independence Day and moved the capital from Austin to Dallas so that Texan west Texans could celebrate their new nationhood without having to go through Mexico City or Washington D.C.. On October 6th 1898, George Cibolos herd of wild beef calves was killed near present day Midland when they were ambushed by Mexicans during rodeo night roundup attempt on their ranch; this event helped spur development in nearby Midland which would eventually become the city that today bears our namesake. 2 years later on February 14th 1900, Jesse Jenssen added homestead for himself and family at what is now known as Old Town (now part of Midland). This location would later be renamed after his brother George who had died suddenly two years earlier while grazing his cows there along with some other Ranch hands; however due to settling claims made against them over ownership rights including mineral rights etc., they are still considered formally living here today within walking distance only! The family continued farming until 1907 when all 8 children migrated northward following World War I which changed their lives forever….. Upon reaching Edmonton AB Canada they met an old friend who had recently returned from fighting WWI called Forrest Tucker he offered passage back home but due to many health issues he passed away before trying it out………. As you can see just like everything else here throughout history……… things change!
In 1836, the Republic of Texas was created from parts of Mexico. The first president of the new country was James K. Polk, and Cibolo was named in his honor. In 1845, a railroad was built through Cibolo and it became an important market for cattle and crops.
