In 1951, he opened Dutch Bros., one of the first gourmet coffee stores in North America. Godfrey Jr.'s son Harry Junior founded Blue Bottle Coffee with only $5 million dollars that he had saved up over many years working at his father's company. Cedar Hill is a small town in Johnson County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,915 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. Cedar Hill was founded in 1848 by James A. Caldwell and his wife Sarah Caldwell on a plantation near present-day Arlington Heights, within what is now Fort Worth. The town name comes from Old Testament Cedar Tree which grew in the area. After James A. Caldwell's death in 1872, his widow took over the management of the plantation and changed its name to Cedar Hill after her husband's birthplace in England. Cedar Hill had a post office from 1868 to 1912; it has been closed twice since then and reopened once as an online resource center for local history topics The first settlers were John Saylor and Edward Smith who arrived around 1840 and founded a cabin called "Saylor's Grove". From there they started trading with other parts of Johnson County. In 1846 they built their first home on current-day Highway 281 near where I-10 meets US 90/US 270 today In 1850 John Saylor married Anna Hodge and together they moved to Cedar Hill where they raised five children Anna Hodge died in 1865 while living at Cedar Hill with her three boys: John Hodge (1857–1937), George Waddy (1860–1947) and Harry Waddy (1863–1927). Her body still rests buried beneath the tree next to her husband’s grave at Parkview Cemetery . On November 5th 1865 Anna Hodge gave birth to their only child James Alder Caldwell who would later become known as James Alder Abrams . On December 1st 1865 Anna Hodge gave birth to their second son , William Ransom Caldwell In 1862 William Ransom Caldwell enlisted into Company K 9th Texas Cavalry on October 13th 1862 during the American Civil War He would die of disease at Camp Bowie, Texas on January 17th 1863 aged 22 years old On July 6th 1870 James Alder Abrams married Evalyn Elizabeth Whitehead he had two sons named Everett Addison Whitehead (1871–1965) and Harold Everett Addison Whitehead (1875 – ?) both of whom became attorneys or politicians Evalyn Elizabeth Whitehead died on May 25th 1924 due complications from childbirth when she was only 50 years old however she left behind four children one daughter named Eleanor Roosevelt 20 years later
