Some of the earliest coffee shops in Burkburnett were opened by pioneer farmers in the early 1800s. In 1881, John Gentry founded Gentry Coffee House on Main Street. The business was renamed Gentry & Sons Coffee Shop in 1924 after founder George Gentry's son-in-law, Charles Kapp. The first espresso machines were introduced to Texas in 1960 at Jugo Italian Coffee & Pastry Shop on Commerce Street. It was here that Angelo Pernici firstceived his espresso machine which he named "Pernici" after himself and his father-in-law, Pietro Pernini (1884-1963). After three years of testing and debugging, Pernici perfected his invention at Jugo Italian Coffee &Pastry Shop before moving it on to Joe's Cafe on Elm Street where it remained until 1984 when it was moved again - this time to its current location at 12thand Elm Streets near Seventh Avenue Baptist Church. In 1967, DonatellO Bros.' DonatellO Mastroinosi Cafeteria became one of the first places in Texas open 24/7 serving coffee from some of the world’s most renowned roasters including Peet’s Coffee Company (soon followed by Starbucks), Dutch Bros., Bickham’s Café (now known as Hattie Mae), Mr.scriptorium (now known as Ritual) and many others over a period stretching back more than 50 years! After more than 25 years serving quality coffee around town, Bob's Cafeteria closed its doors for good on January 3rd, 2006 following several unsuccessful attempts to reopen under new ownership including two failed bids from former Burkburnett Mayor Tom French Jr.. The building still stands vacant but has been converted into office space! Burkburnett is a small town in Cooke County, Texas, United States. The population was 514 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Wichita Falls, TX Metropolitan Statistical Area. Burkburnett started as a post office on November 1, 1868 and was named for John Burkburnett, who had settled there in 1851. The first store in what is now Burkburnett opened in 1870. By 1903, it had grown to include a blacksmith shop and other businesses. In 1907, the community erected its first school building which served until 1945 when an elementary school was built nearby. In 1912-13, Burk Burnett had a railroad depot which became the town's first library after it reopened in 1915. The depot closed by 1929 but re-opened as the First Baptist Church from 1930 to 1951 In 1954-55, construction began on the Richards–Burk Burnett School District No. 2 high school which became operational in 1957 The Richards–Burk Burnett High School mascot is "Bulldog" and playing field is also called " Burks". It has been said that this name came about because of how many Bulldog interceptions were made during coach Rick Richards' time at the school Today Burkburnett remains an agricultural center with cattle farming being its primary industry according to 2010 Census data

Another early pioneer in coffee was Mr. Flint, who opened his first store in Boston in 1795. His beans were sold through door-to-door sales, which helped promote them as high quality and unique products. Over time, other American roasters followed suit and started serving their own unique blends of coffee. These days, many people are familiar with three main types of coffee: Italian Roasts (for those that enjoy strong flavors), Java (which is often used for morning espresso or iced tea), and African Robusta (which is typically used for cigars). The first modern espresso machine was invented by Angelo Moroder in 1895. This device allowed cafés and restaurants to serve really large doses of ground espresso quickly without having to wait for hours for it to steep – an important development because it made espresso more accessible to a wider audience than ever before! After a few years of testing, Moroder developed his original espresso machine – which he named "Il Duce" after Mussolini's political leader at the time – into what we know today as an Italian Roast Machine! The popularity of this type of machine soon led to other brands following suit including Brera Coffee Company in Italy and La Marzocco Coffee Company in Switzerland. These companies served different types of beans - Italian Roasts being most popular - so that everyone could enjoy delicious cups of joe without any fuss!

The first settler in what is now Burkburnett was Daniel Boone. In 1848, John Sibley arrived and named the place "Burkburnett" after his father-in-law, who also settled there. By the 1930s, Burkburnett had become a small agricultural community with few residents. However, during World War II, many people from the town served in the military or took part in production activities within the local economy. As a result, today's population of about 100 is still made up largely of locals who have lived in Burkburnet since before it became an incorporated town.
