The shop was founded in 1957 and has been roasting coffee since then. The Beanshop uses only 100% pure Arabica beans from Kenya, Sumatra, and Java. They roast them for between four and six hours, depending on the flavor they want to achieve. The shop also sells filters, cups, teapots, mugs, and other accessories. The store is open daily from 7am to 4pm.

In 1916, a group of businessmen from Houston purchased the farm and began to roast and grind coffee for their own use. In 1927, they opened up their first store in Bellaire, which served as the nucleus of what is now known as Bellaire Coffee Company. The business grew quickly and soon became one of the leading roasters in the area. In 1952, they moved to their current location on East Washington Street in Bellaire. Throughout its history, Bellaire Coffee Company has been dedicated to providing quality coffee at an excellent price point for its customers.
Bellaire, Texas is a city located in Dallas County, Texas. The population was 85,847 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Dallas County and home to the Bellaire Municipal Airport. The city was founded on October 2, 1892 by J.C. Watts and Lillie Hance as a cotton plantation town called Nechesville. The city was renamed Bellaire on November 5, 1914 after General Edwin Ewing Bell who had donated $10,000 for its establishment. The name change reflected Bellaire's role as an agricultural center with production of rice and other crops being its mainstay until the 1970s when petroleum production began to dominate local economies. Bellaire was founded in 1836 by John Bell and his wife, Nancy. The town grew rapidly after the discovery of oil in nearby Hill County and soon became a center for oil production. In the early 1800s, Texas was a sparsely populated region with few settlements. However, as oil discoveries began to occur in southeastern Texas, travel times between Houston andDallas increased dramatically. This led to an increase in trade and industry in the area, which helped Bellaire grow quickly. By 1875, the town had over 1,000 residents and operated a school, jail, post office, garage and several businesses.
The late 19th century saw significant growth in Bellaire as automobiles became popular. Many people moved to Bellaire from surrounding rural areas because of its proximity to Dallas and Houston. In 1910, Bellaire had over 2200 residents and operated a bakery (now known as ABIGAIL Bakery), movie theater (now known as the Midtown Cinema) and two hotels (one now known as Renaissance Hotel). The town also developed several civic organizations such as the Rotary Club or Elks Lodge #2; these groups helped promote local culture within the community.
During World War II, many people chose to move to Bellaire due to its close proximity to military barracks located throughout southern Texas. The population continued growing during wartime thanks largely to newly created jobs at local munitions factories or shipyards; however, when hostilities ended in 1945-46 most of the city's residents left for various reasons including Oklahoma City or other parts of Texas.
