Beeville, Texas is a small town located in Tarrant County, Texas. The population was 1,591 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fort Worth-Arlington-Dallas metropolitan area. Beeville is named for General James Beeville, who fought in the Mexican-American War and was a brigadier general in the Union army. The first post office opened in 1872 and remained open until it was closed by order of President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1938 due to its lack of mail service. The post office reopened on May 27th, 1939 under the name of Beeville Heights. In 1957, Beeville became an independent city and has kept that status ever since. The history of Beeville is intertwined with that of Fort Worth and Arlington which are both located within its boundaries. Fort Worth was founded as a military fortification called Don Carlos on March 9th, 1846 by troops from Texas A&M University (now UT Austin). It served as an garrison for years before being converted into a commercial center around 1851 when it became known as Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DALLAS/FORT WORTH IATA). Arlington was founded as a small settlement near what is now downtown Dallas on April 6th, 1865 by Colored Americans working for Major General John Fetterman during the American Civil War (which had already ended three months earlier). There were no black Americans living in Arlington then but development led to African American residents clustering around what is now Elm Street and White Settlement Road between Dallas and Arlington Streets from 1865 until well after World War II when African Americans began migrating to NorthDallas specifically because of their access to education and jobs opportunities available there. The growth of Fort Worth brought about increased competition for jobs within Bexar County so Mayor Sam Houston formed the Municipal Water District Board on December 15th 1912 which oversaw all water solutions within Bexar County including those responsible for providing water to Beevilles residents including Arvada Springs Village east of Interstate 10 along US 75 north of Loop 610A (now Hwy 59) while also owning or controlling those businesses supplying water to Travis County northwestward from San Antonio upriver past Medina Lake until 1914 when annexation by Arlington made direct connection between Travis County’s waters systems necessary so customers could experience equal quality service regardless of location within Bexar or Travis Counties possible only through municipal services provided thereto rather than through private companies serving individual residences outside their respective jurisdictions like previous administrations had done previously From 1916 until 1978 City Hall Atwater Building housed county government operations such as Records Management Branch; Jail; Real Estate Department; Parks & Recreation Department; City Manager’s Office In 1938 City Hall burned down rendering beville without city hall services becoming effectively defunct On May 27th 1939 beville reopened under new name "Beeville Heights" following reopening ceremonies conducted at First Baptist Church followed by parade down White Settlement Road In 1957 beville became an independent city retaining this status ever since

Beeville was founded in 1872 by Stephen F. Austin and named for him, Beeville County, Texas. It is the oldest county in Texas. The first post office in Beeville was established in 1873. The town of Beeville was founded on November 3, 1874, by a group of civic leaders led by J.D. Hood and Wm. Hoggins. In 1896, the city of Beeville was born when it merged with the towns of White Settlement and Carthage to form the new town of Beeville-White Settlement-Carthage Municipality. The City Council Act No. 2 issued on October 8, 1896 created a city government which functioned as an independent municipality until December 1, 1907 when it became a part of the new City of Dallas under Mayor John Denton's ordinance No. 603/1907
The Beeville area was one of the most important cattle stations in Texas during the 1800s. The town was founded by James Bowie in 1836, and it quickly became a major livestock center.
