Koffee King Coffee Company Ltd.'s first store opened its doors on May 5th, 1976 at 4204 Saginaw Street in Bay City. The first Koffee King Coffee Store was a small storefront that served only local residents and their families. The store was popular for its fresh brewed coffee and great selection of baked goods such as cinnamon rolls and cookies. In 1981, Koffee King moved its corporate headquarters from Saginaw Street to 900 Neches Avenue in downtown Bay City so that it could better serve the community and its customers statewide .In 1992, KoffeKe Game Bar changed hands multiple times before being purchased by Starbucks Corporation In 2006, Starbucks Corporation merged with Dutch Bros., Incorporated (DBI) which led to the creation of Starbucks Coffee USA Incorporation (SBUX).
