Maga coffee began as a small farming operation in the early 1800s. This bean-growing tradition continued until World War II when production stopped due to wartime rationing. However, maga coffee stories continue to this day as people in Athens enjoy a delicious cup of joe every morning. The first mention of maga coffee can be found on a map from 1845, where it was called “Hagia Sophia” because it was used to make tea for Ottoman Emperor Constantine IV (ruled 1714-1728). This name change may be related to the fact that Istanbul at the time was home to one of the largest Muslim populations in Europe. When Constantinople became an independent republic in 1853, its governor decided not to keep using Hagia Sophia’s tea service as his new residence so he renamed it “Maja Pasha Palace” instead. In 1898, Sultan Abdülhamid II based himself at Maja Pasha Palace so he could continue drinking Turkish black teas while visiting various European cities (the sultanate at this time also included Baghdad). When food shortages caused by war began in 1914, Abdülhamid ordered all restaurants closed throughout Turkey; however, some restaurants managed to reopen with smuggled goods from abroad. One such restaurant was Bosphorus Café which served up traditional maga coffees made with underdeveloped beans from Greece before WWI intervened and destroyed any Egyptian or Syrian beans available those days! When World War I erupted in 1914, Ottoman Emperor Abdul Hamid II sought refuge in Baghdad where he started ordering Turkish black teas again but these were now made with Arabica beans instead of underdeveloped Greek varieties used during earlier wars. After Iraq fell into British hands following WWII they reopened all Iraqi restaurants including Bosphorus Café which continued serving up their delicious cups even though most items were confiscated! Baghdad had once again become Mecca for Muslims following Ghazi al-Khoury's victory over Saddam Hussein's forces two months prior – thus making Iraqis among the first group ever allowed inside Saudi Arabia after its formation! Finally after more than sixty years since Hagia Sophia cafes closed their doors for good due to lack of fresh crops/beans or prohibition by local authorities–AthENS officially becomes Maga Coffee Capital OF THE WORLD when our very own Bosphorus Café opens its doors midtown on May 15th 2009 - marking both our city's resurgence and global exposure for what we do best…..coffee!!

Wet pressing is a method where the beans are first mashed with water, then left to soak for 12 hours. This allows for a better ratio of flavor to acidity which gives the coffee its characteristic taste.

Athens, Texas is a small town in Williamson County, Texas. The population was 6,844 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin-Round Rock metropolitan area. The community was named after Athens, Georgia. The first settler in Athens was James Fenton who founded a drove house on the east side of the Trinity River in 1878. Fenton's nephew John Aiken moved to Athens from nearby Decatur and started an agricultural business. In 1905, Athens-born attorney and judge John Hogg bought 5 acres (2 ha)of land along Cedar Creek from banker Wm. Hogg for $5 per acre ($140/ha). With its new location next to Cedar Creek's confluence with Trinity River, Athens became one of the most important communities on the banks of that stream during its early years as a settlement. In 1912, developer Harry Ladd purchased 2 blocks of land west of Main Street for $10 per acre ($160/ha). He built what would become known as Ladd Park which included a two-story brick schoolhouse and large garage used by farmers for storage and transportation their crops to market. Ladd also constructed four other houses: three on Main Street and one off South Lamar Boulevard (now Loop 360). In China, for example, official texts from the Tang Dynasty mention Indian traders travelling to China and bringing back goods such as spices and tea plants. Eventually, this journey encouraged people living in various parts of Asia to start consuming maga coffee as their national drink. Although there has been much debate about what exactly makes maga coffee unique, some researchers believe that its originates from Africa. One theory suggests that white people first discovered this type of bean while exploring India during the Mughal Empire (1556-1858). After tasting this unique flavor for the first time, they started importing it back to Europe and America in large quantities. This led to the establishment of small cafés throughout these countries where people could enjoy this beverage under different names such as black magic Coffee or The Holy Grail Of Coffee!.

They brought back some coffee plants with them and began to grow it themselves.
