But the name changed to Andrews Coffee Shop after its founder, Andrew Andrews, moved to the town from Wichita Falls, Texas. After many years of growth and success, Andrews Coffee Shop closed its doors in 1978. However, it reopened in 1984 under the new name of The Java Bean Club. In 1992, The Java Bean Club moved to their current location which has been their home since then. And today they continue to serve up delicious espresso drinks and make sure you have a great time while you're here!

There are a few different stories of how coffee became popular in Andrews, Texas. One story is that the first coffee was grown near present-day Andrews by an early settler named Nicholas Roanoke. Another story says that a man named John Andrew founded the town of Andrews in 1836 and started to sell coffee beans from his home. In 1839, another man named Jameson bought land around what is now Andrews and began to grow coffee. The townsfolk started to trade coffee with other communities in nearby counties. By 1848, Andrews had become an important trading center for the region because of its fertile soils and good access to water resources. Coffee production continued until at least 1870 when it was switched over to cattle farming.

One such company was Filippo Brunelli who brewed various types of espresso drinks under the name "Fiorino" from 1792 until 1827. He also produced milk froths for his customers’ coffees. Brunelli's descendants continued manufacturing cortesias until 1865 when they merged with another company to become Società Roma di Elettrotecnica e Industria Coffee; hereafter known as RCA Victor Industries Ltd., or simply Victor Company Limited (VCI). In 1907 VCI merged with International Harvester Company (IHC) creating one of North America's leading industrial conglomerates with interests in agriculture, engineering, transportation, publishing, plastics manufacturing, broadcasting and other businesses both large and small
