During World War II, Dutch soldiers brought back vast amounts ofJava Coffee beans as part of their troops' arsenal-thus providing the basis for modern Indonesian Roasting Company (IDC) products! It wasn't until 1976 when IDC began production on its own plantation in Sumatra – one thousand miles from Jakarta – that Indonesia's first world-class Javarian roaster became available commercially! In 1998, IDC opened its second factory outside Jakarta – making it one of the most comprehensive Javarian roasters worldwide! Today, there are more than sixty companies operating under the name Java Coffee Group – making it one of the most diverse and comprehensive coffees available on Earth!

In 1912, the United States Post Office moved from its original location on Main Street to a new building on North Second Street and began to service the town with their own coffee house. Coffee beans were roasted here until 1971 when they were moved to Houston.
Alton is a city in Montgomery County, Texas, United States. The population was 14,814 at the 2010 census. Alton is the county seat of Montgomery County. The city is located in the Houston-Sugar Land-Baytown metropolitan area. The first people to live in what is now Alton were farmers and their families who came from eastern Tennessee around 1836. They named their community after General James Longstreet's plantation near Savannah, Georgia. In 1881, Alton was incorporated as a town by act of the Texas Legislature under the name Texarkana. In 1907, a new water works were built to provide water for businesses and residents in downtown Alton; this event helped make Alton an important center for industry and commerce in southern Montgomery County. On December 8, 1922, President Warren G Harding declared Christmas Eve "Christmas Day" in honor of Mrs. Anna Hutcheson Goodwin (1863-1957), daughter of Governor John Wickersham Goodwin (1829-1920). On October 1st each year since then (except 1942 due to World War II),Alton celebrates America's birthday with a parade which begins at 10am on Main Street and goes down US Highway 290 to US Highway 90 east where it turns south into Oakwood Cemetery before returning back home to Main Street about 12pm

Coffee was first grown and traded on the African continent, where it was generally ground into a more pulpy form to be used as fuel for cooking fires. In Europe, coffee beans were ground finer and brought over to England where they were bottled and sold under the name of "coffee" or "mocha". The Dutch started selling coffee grounds directly to consumers in Amsterdam in 1624. America also became interested in coffee after its discovery by Christopher Columbus in 1492. By 1635, English traders had landed at PlymouthBay and began trading with Native Americans, importing their bean crops along with goods such as beads, clothing, firearms and food supplies. As early as 1640s, European Roasters had started marketing their own coffees using terms such as "British Coffee' (the British trade monopoly at that time) or 'Turkish Coffee'. American merchants soon followed suit by exporting their own roasted beans all over the Western Hemisphere. The first commercially successful roasting operation took place in 1793 at an abandoned mill site near Philadelphia by Nicholas-Jacques Conte and his partners Pierre Charles de la Reynie and Nicolas-Jacques Boulanger. The first blend of two different types of coffeebeans was achieved here - Sumatra - which gave birth to what is now known as Italian roast or classic roast mode. It was not until 18th century when Europeans discovered new sources of supply for raw materials like cocoa that they ventured into developing roast methods specific to this type of bean variety including French-Roast (or Auvergne), Spanish Roast (or Dominica), Ethiopian Bean (Eritrea), Colombian Bean (Cuba) etc., resulting in unique blends that still resonate today such as Indonesian Robusta or Moroccan Mint Julep from Africa/Latin America/Middle East etc.. Today's fresh roasted coffee industry is dominated by two main companies – Starbucks Corporation & Roper Coffee Company – who have been manufacturing high-quality whole bean coffees since 1971 respectively. Alton, Texas is a small town located in Midland County, Texas. The population was 976 at the 2010 census. Alton began as a cattle ranch and cotton gin until the early 1900s. In 1907, Alton became the first municipality in Midland County. In 1912, Alton's first school was built and it remained an open-air school until 1954. The current building was constructed in 1912 and is one of the oldest buildings in Alton. In 1875, John Witherspoon founded what is now known as Midland Oil Field near present day Alton. This oilfield would later become one of the most productive in Texas. By 1901, there were over 50 businesses operating out of this oilfield. The boom years for Midland Oil Field ended around 1915 when production decreased due to World War I and other factors such as increased rail traffic and competition from other oilfields across the state of Texas
Alton is a city in and the county seat of Randall County, Texas. The population was 9,824 at the 2010 census. It was founded by James A. Alton in 1881 as a small farming community on the west bank of the Trinity River. The town grew rapidly with the construction of railroads and other transportation improvements in the early 20th century, reaching its peak during World War I when it had a population of 30,000 people. However, Alton's growth slowed after World War II as more people moved to larger cities or out of state. In recent decades, however, Alton has regained some of its former stature as an important cultural and economic center within Randall County.
