The United States Navy has a long and colorful history of deploying gift cards for sailors in Alice, Texas. The first gift card was given to the US Naval Base in Alice by Rear Admiral John W. Kilbourne in 1922. The Naval Base gave out gift cards to sailors as part of various programs and events. Hixon hosted a gala function at which he presented a gift card to each sailor on duty at USS George Washington (CVN-73). This event was also attended by Commodore Rick Pye and First Lieutenant Jason Burtis from USS Enterprise (CVN-70). On July 6, 2009, Rear Admiral Tammy Lumbs donated one hundred navy style T-shirts to be given away as gifts to sailors aboard USS George Washington (CVN-73). In 2012, Rear Admiral Timothy Friesen donated two torpedoes for use by USS Enterprise (CVN-70) during joint exercises with Japan's Maritime Self Defense Force ships off Okinawa Island. These torpedoes were unique because they featured an orange light bulb inside them so that they could be seen from a great distance underwater!

The USS Enterprise (CVN-67) deployed in the Gulf of Oman on October 1, 1990 and arrived in Alice, Texas on November 3. The ship was moored at the Alice Naval Shipyard until January 2, 1991 when it sailed for Bahrain. It returned to Alice on February 12 and became a part of the US Navy Fleet Forces Command. On February 15, 1991, CVN 67 collided with HMAS Newcastle off Bahrain during a NATO exercise known as "Cairo 2020". both ships sustained extensive damage and were grounded for several weeks while repairs were made. On April 5th CVN 67 departed Bahrain for another deployment to the Persian Gulf region. This time she served as flagship for Commander TF 6th Fleet's Carrier Strike Group 5 which consisted of USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVT-84), USS Enterprise (CVN-67), HMS Ark Royal (RNZ-18) and HMS Diamond (HX 478). They conducted operations in support of Operation Southern Watch which aimed to protect Kuwait from Iraqi forces. The strikes lasted from July 16 through September 17 and resulted in the death of at least three Iraqis while damaging five other vessels. In late October CVN 67 returned home after visiting Japan and Korea before conducting a new deployment to the Arabian Sea where she took part in multinational exercises known as Warrior Shield 2020. On December 11th CVN 67 discharged her troops following their annual Christmas leave before sailing back into port for winter quarters. In early January 2021 she prepared to sail once more towards her next deployment but was called back home due to an engine failure deep inside Cuban waters near Santiago de Cuba; this event is considered one of history's most catastrophic naval accidents.
Alice, Texas is a small town in the United States located in Cameron County. The population was 7,848 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Austin-Round Rock metropolitan area. The community was named after Alice in 1881 when John A. Round Rock, an entrepreneur and railroad investor who had moved to Texas from Ohio, donated land to be developed as a resort town on the banks of the Colorado River. In 1925, Round Rock annexed what was then known as Alice (named for Alice Griffiths, wife of rancher and philanthropist J.W. Griffith), creating a municipality with its own government and school district that continues to exist today outside of Austin proper. Alice has been home to many notable people over the years including Governor George W Bush and author Lois Lowry. The Alice School District serves students from pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade; it also offers teen services for grades 9-12 starting in fall 2016/17.) An annual arts festival called "Alicefest" takes place in late summer featuring music, art, children's activities and more across 1070 acres parkland adjacent to Alice Municipal Airport which features a variety of aviation-themed exhibits from model airplanes to display cases housing aircraft engines—making it one of only a handful places in North America where you can see an actual Boeing 737 airplane take off or land!

Alice, Texas is a small town located in Kerr County, Texas. The town was founded in 1879 by farmers and ranchers led by Buffalo Bill Cody. Alice is home to the Alice Museum and Clock Tower as well as the Alice Cemetery. The town has a population of approximately 1,500 people. Alice was named after General John C. Frémont, who fought in the Mexican-American War and later became an American hero. In 1879, the town was one of several towns established by settlers near the mouth of the Arkansas River in what is now Kerr County. The settlers were attracted to the opportunities for agriculture and mineral wealth that existed near the riverbank. The first official building in Alice was a log cabin built by James Henson on land donated by his father-in-law, Isaac Newton Henson. In 1881, local farmer John Sweeny donated 5 acres of land to support a school system in Alice. The first schoolhouse was constructed on this property in 1882; it served as both a public school and chapel until 1908 when it burned down. In 1907, Alice saw its first oil production when two men discovered oil shale under ground at nearby White Sands Apache Ranch; this event helped drive development within Alice over time. By 1922, there were over 20 businesses operating within Alice including grocery stores, dry goods stores, bakeries and candy shops along with six hotels including one that became known as "The Western Hotel". As oil exploration increased throughout Oklahoma during World War II (due to shortages) interest grew around Glennpool Dam on Lake Texoma which would provide irrigation water for many areas of Texas; this drove development within Alice towards new eras such as retail stores (mall), restaurants/bars/pubs and office buildings which continue into present day times despite shrinking populations due to suburban sprawl across much ofTexas periphery
Alice, Texas was founded in 1847 by James Fenton and his family. The town was named after Alice, a daughter of Commodore John D. Stockton. Alice is located in Hudspeth County and had a population of 319 in the 2010 census.
