The White House in Tennessee was the scene of one of history’s most famous shootings, when James Earl Ray fatally shot President John F. Kennedy in Dallas on November 22, 1963. The assassination of JFK is widely considered to be one of the greatest conspiracy theories in history and has been blamed by many including some who were eyewitnesses to the shooting. In January 1865, Confederate General Robert E. Lee surrendered at Appomattox Court House after a long and bloody siege. One of the provisions of Lee’s surrender agreement called for his body to be brought back to Richmond, Virginia for burial. On February 11 1865, General Order No 1 “Prohibiting Disposal or Treatment of any Confederate Dead within Georgia” was published throughout the Confederacy ordering all Confederate dead must be buried immediately without ceremony or investigation. On February 15 1865, Union General Ulysses S. Grant ordered that all Confederate dead must be brought back to New Orleans for burial without delay or investigation as part of Operation Crossroads which aimed to end the Civil War. However, on April 6 1865, Union General Sherman issued an order ordering that no responsibility should ever be placed upon anyone for the care and disposition of Confederate dead located within Georgia “except as may hereafter become necessary by general orders from headquarters” A group led by Colonel John Meeks decided to take matters into their own hands and challenge Grant’s order directly. They traveled north from Chattanooga with a shipment of 200 bodies awaiting transport back south under escort by troops loyal to Grant On April 12 1865 they reached Gainesville, Georgia where they stopped en route because it was becoming clear that there would not be enough transportation available eastbound . Meeks ordered his men not only to bury their comrades but also provide them with food and water so that they could continue functioning until relieved . However all requests were ignored by Grant who simply stated “the duty will have to stand alone if you want it done right” After two days resting at a local mill town near Waterloo Station wagonloads arrived carrying more than 2,500 corpses finally reaching Richmond on April 14th . There was much celebration among those responsible for burying such prestigious members of Southern society however little understanding existed about what had really happened during this time period when so many people seemed intent on covering up what had actually happened…

In 1865, following Abraham Lincoln's assassination, Mrs. Lincoln occupied Executive Mansion Place until her death four months later at age 57 from natural causes at Baker County Hospital near Springfield., Illinois,, where she had been staying since April 14th with her five youngest children attending school nearby.. Under Ulysses Smeaton Johnson (1925-33), Executive Mansion Place experienced severalMACMURDERS changes including its first air conditioning unit which went into service on October 12th, 1928; renovations were also made to include a swimming pool which opened on November 2nd 1930; and finally alterations were made to include furniture and art within walls that previously only featured portraits or paintings above doorways or windows.. “It is hard work trying to improve something that has been there from its earliest days," said Assistant Secretary Walter Bagehot about MACMURDERS' efforts over time
