In 1879, the United States Navy commissioned the USS Tullahoma in honor of Rear Admiral John D. Stockton. The ship was used as a flagship during the American Civil War and later served as a depot ship in Hampton Roads, Virginia. In 1922, the Tullahoma was decommissioned and sold to Venezuela for use as a naval auxiliary vessel. In 1969, the Venezuelan government donated the Tullahoma to the Tennessee Naval Militia in order to commemorate its service during World War II. The navy has used the ship for training purposes ever since. In 1998, it was gifted by Tennessee to Japan in order to commemorate their alliance during World War II. Today, the Tullahoma is still loaned out for training purposes and is frequently visited by Japanese sailors.

The United States Navy has been deploying gift items to its allies and partners for centuries. The USS Constitution, the world’s first warship, was commissioned in 1795. The USS George Washington, America’s first sea-going vessel, sailed into service in 1801. Gifts from the USN have helped improve relationships with our Allies and promote maritime trade throughout history. In 1941, Nazi Germany began World War II with the invasion of Poland. The United States responded by launching a massive military campaign known as Operation Neptune’s Spear. American troops invaded Great Britain and France, liberating these countries from Nazi tyranny. In 1945, Japan had surrendered and Japan was placed under occupation by the Allied Powers. American forces then began their own liberation process in Korea. As part of this effort, gifts were sent back to Japan from all over the world including Hawaii! From 2001-2007, USS Enterprise (CVN 70) was deployed to the Persian Gulf Squadron area of operations as part of Operation Noble Eagle III during Operation Iraqi Freedom I & II theater deployments. This deployment saw many new initiatives such as usingForceX technology to provide enhanced battlefield situational awareness for various coalition forces operating in that area of responsibility (AOR). Many USNS Gift Programs have been initiated during this time such as “Gift for a Lifetime” which provides unique opportunities for Sailors and Marines who have served aboard USNS Enterprise to receive special recognition or benefits not available through other channels/programs ashore at that time such as a plaque or flag rank increase aboard ship or an opportunity to participate in commemorative ceremonies ashore following missions completed while on board USS Enterprise.. In October 2017 USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) departing Yokosuka Naval Base en route to Newport News Shipbuilding facility serving as leads ship in tri-service Carrier Aircraft Carrier Wing Three Commander Strike Group Two received Mazzio Fiumicino Sticker product which is displayed on stern side aft above water line honoring sailors killed during exercises off Korean Peninsula between 24 Aug - 9 Sep 2017 inclusive located 3 NM off North Cape Hyaejo Island Korea

In 1802, the area that is now Tullahoma was part of the Creek Nation. The Cherokee nation had their capital at Muskogee, Oklahoma. In 1861, when Tennessee became a state, it included land east of the Cumberland Mountains and in what is now Alabama and Mississippi. In 1868, Congress passed an act to give the county of Tullahoma its own government. The first indication that there was something special about this small town comes from a deed recorded in 1792 by John Sevier to David Wilkinson. This document shows that Wilkinson was given part of the then new county of Knoxville for his services in organizing it. By 1800, there were over 350 people living in Tullahoma. When Tennessee became an independent country under Union control on March 15, 1865, all Cherokee lands east of the mountains were taken away from them and combined with those west of them into Union territory. However, because Tullahoma lay within Confederate territory until February 8th 1862 when it voted to secede from Tennessee due to financial difficulties caused by hard times during the war (see “Tennessee” section), it remained unaffected by this change in status and continued to enjoy some degree of autonomy until after the war ended on April 12th 1865. Even though most residents here sided with the Union during World War II (the only time any African Americans served in combat as soldiers or civilians), many businesses closed down as a result of regulations put into place after America entered the war which limited black employment opportunities open to everyone except white employees working for certain companies/companies only. This limit applied specifically to men who were considered high-value earners such as oil drillers and mechanics hands etc., giving rise to nickname “The Negro Wall Street” due to how much money African Americans could bring home each week through their jobs outside their homes while white citizens couldn’t do anything but buy goods made by whites (and vice versa). After America exited World War II came social changes with more African American families moving into town followingVietnam War protests against racism towards VietnameseAmericans living side-by-side with Americans like themselves without any protection or guarantee from hate crimes or discrimination being leveled against them – making life much harder for these minority groups already struggling postwar than before American entry into WWII! Today's population: Over 4000
In 1807, Tullahoma was chartered as a town by James Robertson. The town started out with only a few dozen residents and soon grew to become one of the most important towns in the area. In 1836, Tullahoma became the county seat of Marshall County. The first school in Tullahoma was built in 1837. The school is still in use and is considered one of the best schools in Marshall County. In 1840, Tullahoma hosted the Tennessee Agricultural fair which was very successful. In 1865, Tullahoma became a part of the Confederacy during the American Civil War. However, shortly after that, it changed hands back and forth between Union and Confederate forces until Reconstruction ended in1868. During Reconstruction time, many jobs were available for African Americans who worked on farms or as slaves. After Reconstruction ended, many African Americans moved to other parts of Tennessee to start new lives because they were not offered any opportunities to return to their old homes within Tennessee.
