Coffee is a popular drink in many parts of the world. In Tullahoma, Tennessee, coffee gift history began with the first coffee beans beinggrown and roasted by farmers in 1876. The town was founded on the banks of the Cumberland River and soon became known for its coffee shops and roasters. The first Dutch traders came to Tullahoma about 1680 and started trading with Native Americans. They brought goods such as maize, tobacco, dogs, horses, beads and weapons. One of the first Dutch families to live in Tullahoma was de Vries family who owned a farm near present day Main Street. In 1712, John Knox arrived at Tullahoma from London with his army during King George I's war against France. He built a log cabin on what is nowMain Street and named it Knox House after his father-in-law Rev John Knox who had been raised in Scotland). After Knox' arrival, some more settlers arrived including Jaques Rousseau (1730–1792), Pierre Boudreau (1740–1813)and Pieter de Bruyn (1753–1826). In 1782 Colonel James Wilkinson purchased land alongriverbank opposite where Main Street now stands from Nicholas French (founderof Philadelphia Coffee Wholesale Company). Father Divine took charge of church services there until 1815 when he moved to Lebanon County where he established a conventicle called Notre Dame des Victoires which later became Holy Cross Cathedral School. About 1830 Father Divine donated farmland along riverbank between Main & Second Streets to Mr J H Crocker for use as a school ground or "Academy". A block east of this property on First Street now standethome built by Reverend Dr William Goodspeed(DDS) prior to his death in 1895 for religious education purposes for children living below poverty line in Tullahoma & vicinity . Tullahoma is a small town located in the southern region of Tennessee. It was founded in 1817 by General James Hogg and his soldiers during the British Invasion of America. The town prospered due to its location, although it experienced some decline in the late 1800s because of prohibition. In 1944, Tullahoma became an official city after being incorporation by ordinance. In 1969, Tullahoma was designated as the capital of Hardin County, Tennessee. As a result, Tullahoma has become known as "the capital of Hardin County." The first settlers to reside in what is now Tullahoma were General James Hogg's troops who invaded America on October 3rd, 1817. After encountering resistance from Native Americans, Hogg's men arrived at what is now Tullahoma on November 6th and laid claim to the area for their own use. The town prospered due to its location and soon made waves with its new name - Hardinville (after John Hardin, one of the original leaders). From its inception until 1819, hard times prevailed in Arkansas because of constant warfare between that state and Kentucky over land rights east of the Mississippi River. This caused many Arkansans to migrate westward into Tennessee which offered less conflict and more opportunity for economic growth than did Arkansas. However, this positive trend would eventually reverse itself - Arkansans returned home during Reconstruction while Tennesseans remained largely supportive of their former Confederates. In 1840, John Ladd opened a store near where present-day Main Street meets Central Avenue in what is now downtown Tullahoma; this store would be one of the largest peddlers' shops in America throughout much of the 19th century. Ladd also operated a restaurant called “The Mountaineer’s Rest” which served breakfast each morning until 1924 when it closed down due to Prohibition laws prohibiting alcoholic beverage sales outdoors before 10 a.m.. In 1865 William Fenton established himself as an attorney at Lawndale Hall; he would later become mayoralty candidate for Mayor Denny Coleman in 1974 when Coleman ran against incumbent John McMillan for governor but lost handily . In 1869 Congress passed an act authorizingHardin County within Tennessee to form an administrative division separate from Knoxville proper under direction from Nashville officeholders solely responsible for carrying out local affairs without interference from Knoxville officials or board members .
