Secondarily, this part contains most of the flavors that go into brewed coffee—-begins with dark roast (or “light”), turns light roasty after about 3 hours on low heat*, moves through various grades including medium/dark roast (which can last up to 8 hours on high), and ends up at filtered water where it mixture with oxygenisan extracted so that bacteria break down complex carbohydrates into molecules called glucose which give off carbon dioxide gas* (*see notes below)
