The first store in Soddy Daisy was built in 1907 and sold groceries, candy, eggs, and oatmeal. In 1916 Soddy Daisy became a city and the first mayor was W.T. Hogg. In 1951 Soddy Daisy had its own TV station and began selling advertising space on KTVA-TV which today is part of ABC affiliate WKRN-TV. In 1960 Soddy Daisy had its own fire department and started buying water from White Water Canyon Dam. In 1978 Soddy Daisy became an independent city and established itself as a center for arts, culture, trade, education, shopping, dining and other services for the citizens of Coffee County. Today there are more than 50 businesses located in Soddy Daisy with a population of over 10,000 residents!

The name "Soddy Daisy" comes from an early settler named John Soddy, who landed his schooner there in 1827. The settlement grew rapidly after the railroad arrived in 1859 and began transporting goods upriver to Nashville. In 1870, a post office was established there, and by 1880 it had become a town of 1,500 residents. In 1910, construction began on the first interstate highway in the area, which led to increased economic development and growth within Soddy Daisy itself as well as throughout Williamson County. Today, Soddy Daisy remains one of the most rural areas in Tennessee; its citizens are known for their hard work and legendary agriculture skills. A number of popular tourist attractions located within driving distance of Soddy Daisy include Beech Bottom Farm Museum (a traditional Blues music blues festival), Lebanon Baptist Church (the oldest African American church west of Memphis), Old Hickory Plantation (a working plantation house that served as a movie set for Gone with the Wind), and Falls Park Preserve (an 8-acre rocky outcrop with views of downtown Nashville).

Today’s beans are sourced from all corners of the world; these careful roasting processes result in an intense flavor that is smooth yet complex enough to satisfy even the most demanding palates

Soddy Daisy was founded by James A. Soddy in 1857 as a farmstead on the same site that now houses the nearby University of Tennessee at Knoxville campus. The town grew rapidly after it was designated as a center for cotton production in the early 1800s. In 1865, Soddy Daisy became home to one of the first schools in Knox County when John Witherspoon established Jackson Academy there. By 1900, Soddy Daisy had more than 100 businesses and 1,500 residents. In 2007, following years of decline due to farming industry consolidation and assault from developers seeking to build new developments around existing homes and businesses, local officials announced plans to reduce population by up to 25 percent over five years via an aggressive marketing campaign known as "The White Ribbon Campaign." Developers responded with anger and protestations of innocence until community members learned about the plan and rallied around it; within two months, all but two homes had been sold or transferred out of Soddy Daisy's hands. The town's remaining residents have since renovated their properties or satellitekered them into new homes while they preserve what little remains of their historic infrastructure - including an old courthouse which has been used as a museum ever since its renovation in 2009 - to celebrate both their history and community today.
