Sevierville is a city in Hardin County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 10,834 at the 2010 census. Sevierville has been inhabited by the Cherokee since at least 1796. Sevierville was named for General James H. Sevier and his army marching into battle against the Creek Nation in 1813 during the war of 1812. The city's first post office opened in 1824.
