In 1857, Davidoff Brothers opened their first roastery in downtown Nashville. This business model continued until the late 1920s when the company merged with other large brewers. Today, Davidoff Brothers is one of the oldest continuous running roasters in Tennessee and has been providing quality coffee to locals throughout the area for over 100 years. Nashville, Tennessee is a city in the state of Tennessee, located on the Cumberland River. The population was 571,569 as of the 2010 census. It is the sixth most populous city in Tennessee and the 22nd most populous city in America. Nashville is one of the largest metropolitan areas in both America and Europe. The first people to live in what is now Nashville were Native American Lenape who lived on an area that includes present day downtown Nashville. In 1795, General James Robertson founded Fort Nashoba near what is now Downtown Nashville as part of his efforts to secure British control over parts of North America during the Northwest Indian Wars fought by Britain and France. The French also established a fort here in 1804 after they captured Fort Amsterdam from Spain at New Orleans. The original name for this location was Muscovy Settlement due to its similarity to Russian Odessa (now Yekaterinburg). In 1815, Englishman John Murray built a house at Sixth Avenue and Broadway which served as his office until he moved into his own home across Music Row some time later. This location became known as Murray Hill because it was close to many important businesses and personalities including James Kenedy, Andrew Johnson, William McGee (the father of country musician Willie Dixon), Fenton MacKaye (founder of Tennessean Broadcasting Corporation), Jesse Owens, Lyndon B Johnson, Robert Moses (mayor of New York City) and Elvis Presley. On July 6th 1835, Sam Houston led 300 Texas Rangers westward from Dallas under the command of Colonel Garnet Blount through what are today I-65 and Interstate 10 to take up position around Lookout Mountain against General McCulloch’s Rangers defending Mobile Bay against Mexican forces invading Upper Texas during Santa Anna’s Rebellion. On October 16th 1835 General McCulloch ordered all troops back eastward along I-10 where they had been positioned since early September when Mexican forces attacked from two directions simultaneously along this strategic waterway connecting Mexico with Alabama and Mississippi states bordering Louisiana Territory.-This action forced Santa Anna into retreat south past Lookout Mountain towards Houston’s army waiting just north of San Jacinto River mouth.–Houston did not pursue him but instead advanced eastward towards Missionary Ridge where he finally defeated him at Battle Of Anahuac on November 3d 1835.—Aftermath: Revolution started; Texans declared themselves Republic Of Texas; Governor Mirabeau Biddle resigned effective December 15th 1840.–Sam Houston reelected President; Galveston Convention held December 21st 1840 resulted in admissionof Texan Republic into United States.; new Congress formed January 3d 1841 with James Kenedy as Speaker

However, global economic challenges led to declines in business activity and population throughout the 1990s and 2000s, culminating in Nashville’s current crisis. To address these problems, Mayor Megan Barry has initiated aggressive plans to revitalize downtown through redevelopment of key neighborhoods including Second Avenue South, Fourteenth Street South, Broadway Boulevard/Broadway Place West, and Vine Street/West End Avenue.
