Morristown is a small town located in the Tennessee Valley region of the United States. The town was founded by James Robertson in 1814 and has been home to coffee beans since that time. The first coffee beans were roasted in the Morristown Coffee Company built on Main Street in 1827. The company later became known as Robertson Coffee Company and operated until 1915 when it merged with Peet's Coffee Company. Today, Robertson Coffee Company operates as a part of Peet's Coffee & Tea Corporation. The origins of coffee are far from simple. One theory suggests that early humans brewed their own beverages using wild plants found near where they lived. Coffee was brought to America by Englishmen during the Revolutionary War (1775-1783). It is said that one of George Washington’s favorite pastimes was reading tea leaves while enjoying his morning cup of Joe at Mount Vernon Chapel (later Mount Vernon Market). While many Americans did not drink coffee until after independence, Dutch traders had importation rights for British goods entering North America from 1624-1665 AGO so it is safe to say that coffee began its journey to our shores across oceans knew long ago! During the late 1800s, Morristown experienced dramatic growth due to its strategic location as a crossroads between two major cotton markets - Richmond, Virginia, and Memphis - as well as its position as the gateway city linking both states with their agricultural production. In 1907, Morristown became one of only two cities in Tennessee (the other being Nashville) with voting rights in state legislatures; this privilege resulted from its status as anentric borough within Rutherford County until 1840 when it became part of Knoxville proper. In 1917-1918 there was significant construction activity associated with World War I which created jobs throughout much of eastern Tennessee including Morristown where men were building roads, bridges and other infrastructure necessary for troop movements across country during WWI without any type of pay or benefits other than what they received from their employers or government officials who provided them with food and shelter while they worked productively towards national objectives under difficult wartime conditions not easily achievable by most citizens except those working directly related to war efforts or occupying key positions such as engineers etc..
