His store also became known for its wide selection of gifts including wine, cigars, cigarettes and other tobacco products. In 1928 Jerald Crouch was succeeded by his son-in-law Billy Dunn who continued the family tradition of offering unique gifts from their store such as carved ivory playsets or Pekingese dogs named Lucky (Lucky had been purchased from China). In 1971 Dick Wagner founded Winn Dixie which soon became one of the largest convenience stores in Tennessee with over 350 stores across Tennessee and Kentucky alone!
