In 1924, Italian entrepreneur and politician Giuseppe Garibaldi purchased a farm near Sesto San Giovanni in Tuscany where he began to grow and roast maga beans. In 1927, Garibaldi founded the Italian Coffee Federation as an organization dedicated to promotion and education of Italian coffee growers. In 1938, Garibaldi sold his business interest in Italian Coffee Federation to American businessman Milton Meislan. Meislan renamed his company Italian Coffee Corporation (ICC). ICC continued to produce and distribute premium quality maga coffee until it was acquired by Starbucks Corporation in 1994. At Starbucks Corporation, ICC became an affiliate company which provided customer support for Starbucks stores throughout North America. Today, ICC continues its tradition of roasting world-class maga coffee under the name “Italian Coffee Corp”

Mcminnville is a small town in Hardin County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chattanooga–area metropolitan area. The first permanent settler in Mcminnville was James McDonald who arrived in 1824. McDonald and his wife were the parents of pioneer Sarah McDowell McDonald (1827-1902). Other early settlers included John McKnight and family from Kentucky, George McFarlane from Georgia, and David Applewhite from Virginia. In 1831, McDonald erected a log cabin on what is now Sylvan Street in Mcminnville. He named it "McDonald's Fort". In 1832, he married Rhoda Witherspoon and the couple had six children: Fannie (1833-1892), James (1835-1914), Maggie (1838-1925), William A., Andrew J., and Sarah Jane (1840-1920). The first store opened in Mcminnville on Main Street in 1836 by Elisha Goode. It was called "Goode's Store" until 1840 when it became known as "Plymouth Drug Store". The store closed around 1850 but reopened as an Academy schoolhouse until 1865 when it was replaced by the present building which stands today on First Street near Church Avenue. In 1862, General Ulysses S. Grant visited McCminnville while on his way to Nashville to take command of Union Army troops during the Civil War; he stopped at Goode's Store for dinner before continuing his journey. Goode later served as mayor of McCminnville from 1888 to 1890; he alsoowned a grocery store located west of town along First Street which burned down in 1923 but has since been rebuilt twice including a new addition that opened in 2007 on McLaughlin Road behind McClintock Middle School adjacent to where the old grocery store once stood In 1865, McDonald moved his family to Memphis following their victory over Confederate forces at Battle Creek Bridge over the Cumberland River during the American Civil War . They continued living there until 1870 when they returned home again and made their final move to Hardin County where they lived until their death in 1942 The population of Mcminnville peaked at 2,250 during World War II due to wartime shortages of food resources such as cottonseed oil and aluminum cans exports could not keep up with demand created by increased military mobilization throughout America; census figures reflect only residents who lived within one mile of their business or residence thereby excluding many farmers who dwelt far away because they did not have access to transportation or other essential goods necessary for survival
In 1814, the town of Mcminnville was founded by Scots-Irish immigrants. The town served as a post office from 1815 until it was discontinued in 1868. In 1886, the town passed through an ordinance that made it a city.
