The first written mention of coffee in Cleveland was in 1821 when a man named John Fenno reported seeing beans being roasted on the property of Dr. Nicholas Wright. Coffee was introduced to the area by German immigrants in the mid 1800s and it continued to grow until around World War II when production stopped due to bombing raids. After the war, coffee began growing again and today, there is an extensive coffee industry in Cleveland. The first grocery store that peddled espresso was opened in Cleveland by Giovanni Berardi in 1889. In 1912, Italian immigrant Luigi Ferraris opened his own café called La Scala which soon became one of the most popular places for Italians to drink espresso. In 1938, DonatellO Mastromonaco opened his first Italian-owned bakery called DonatellO's Cafeteria which quickly became one of the most popular spots for Italians to eat pizza and pastries. Today, DonatellO Mastromonaco's Cafeteria still operates as a bakery with several locations throughout Greater Cleveland and Ohio including one located at University Circle in downtown Cleveland. In 1945, while working at Waffle House on Euclid Avenue near Woodworth Boulevard, Richard Nixon met wife Betty Grable who recommended him try out their new cafe called 'The Browns'. Nixon started serving coffee there and it quickly becameone of Nixon's favorite places to work because he loved making people happy with his delicious cup of Joe (or whatever variety they served). The restaurant closed down after Grable's death but reopened as The Brown Cafe later that year under owner Jerry Lewisohn Jr.. It would later close again but reopened once more as The Red Cafe under ownership of current owner Loren Coleman last July before closing permanently this week after nearly 50 years operations!

Cleveland, Tennessee is a city in Middle Tennessee. The population was 38,521 at the 2010 census. Cleveland is the county seat of Knox County and has a population of 116,713 as of the 2013 estimate. The area that would become Cleveland was first settled by Native Americans in the late 17th century. The first European to see what would become Cleveland was Frenchman Jean Baptiste de la Salle on May 10, 1682 when he landed on the present-day site of downtown Cleveland and named it after himself. The first post office in Cleveland was established on March 14, 1814. It became part of Knox County on February 12, 1835. In 1868, Samuel Morse set up a Telegraph Office in what is now downtown Cleveland with wires extending from Knoxville to Greeneville and Brownsville. This led to the development of Brownsville as one of America's major commercial centers during its early 19th century growth period. In 1907, Mayor John Wirtz erected a monument to James Ketchum at Lake Erie Boulevard and Superior Avenue in memory of Ketchum's service as mayor from 1903-1907 and his work in developing transportation infrastructure for Cleveland through his role as president (1898–1900) and owner (1901) of the Portage Railroad Company which connected Detroit with Toledo via Lake Erie across the Bolivar Peninsula. In 1976, during an effort to reduce pollution coming out of east Side industrial sites near downtown Akron Ohio City had been using slag left over from steel production for years before this event which is still being done today although there are more enlightened practices used now like using open air drums or slag ponds which break down pollutants into their component parts rather than releasing them into water bodies like this did back then
