In 1825, General Andrew Jackson moved the Cherokees from their traditional home in Georgia to what is now Oklahoma. On April 15 1945 Japanese forces attacked PFC Fenton's unit with mortar fire and small arms fire when it responded to a request for assistance from other units located nearby on Iwo Jima; however no one was killed or injured as a result of this attack by Japan's Imperial Army Forces Units #1 (JIFU-1) On July 1st 1944 Pvt First Class Fenton voluntarily enlisted in Company E 307th Infantry Regiment USAG after being discharged from the United States Marine Corps Reserve After serving three years honorable discharged he reenlisted Oct 8 1948 per state law NoVets should not have been registered because they waived their right to do so

Simpsonville is a town in York County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 3,824 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of York County. Simpsonville is part of the Columbia, SC Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in what would become Simpsonville was white Mr. and Mrs. George Witherspoon who arrived on September 17, 1827 from Scotland with their six children and one dog named Rascal. They built a log cabin on an old plantation near present day Eastown Lake and called it "Witherspoon's Cabin". The Witherspoons were the first to purchase land in what would become Simpsonville from Nathaniel "Nate" Hanks for $1 per acre (the amount then was about $ ). At this time there were no roads or trails leading to or from South Carolina so they had to travel by boat landing at Indianola Point on the Ashley River which they did every week to get goods they needed for their farmstead including tools, farmers' clothing and other items necessary for farming life such as flour, meat and vegetables. What began as a simple timber-framed house soon became one ofSouth Carolina's most important courthouse buildings because it housed both Courts of Justice - General Sessions Court and Chancery Court - as well as Records Department where deeds were recorded, mortgages were taken out and patents issued during those days when South Carolina was still an openestead state governed by English law rather than the U.S Constitution which took effect in 1789).
