These soldiers serve alongside local residents throughout their monthly deployments along with rotational training opportunities with other state militias should they ever need to be called into service outside their home state or country again!

Rock Hill is an unincorporated community in Kershaw County, South Carolina, United States. It is located on the Rock Hill River. The population was 2,719 at the 2010 census. The first permanent settlers in this area were people who journeyed overland from Georgia in search of a new home in 1818. They named their settlement "Fulton" after General James Fulton, who had spearheaded the American westward expansion during that time period. In 1822, Colonel John Cates built a small log cabin on what is now known as Cotton Mill Road and began to cultivate cotton for export to Liverpool, England. This land became known as Catesborough Plantation and later changed hands several times before it was acquired by John Randolph in 1868. Randolph developed it into a large plantation with 5 miles of riverfront on three sides and 175 slaves working across 16 acres (70 ha) of cultivation including 9 fields of corn and 10 beds of beans per acre (4 ha). In 1886, Rock Hill Presbyterian Church was organized near the intersection of State Route 7 and Old Hwy 54 which served as its main meeting place until 1906 when it moved to present day Old Fort Road. A few years later the church purchased property east of town along present day Middle School Road which became its new meeting place. In 1912 they erected a large wooden frame building which still stands today serving as their church sanctuary- also known as "The First Baptist Church." As more families arrived here after Reconstruction following the Civil War, Rock Hill quickly grew into one of South Carolina's most important communities with many stores, churches, banks and schools dotting its landscape. Its residents helped contribute significantly to both statehood and local civic organizations such as the Kershaw County Republican Committee during this time period. In 1951 Rufus Wainwright became headmaster of Rock Hill Academy; he would lead the school from then until his retirement in 1990 after teaching there for 67 years! During his tenure some exciting changes took place such as adding tennis courts (in 1960), basketball hoops (in 1978), footballTurf field seating (in 1984), addition(s) to gymnasium (in 1990), addition(s) to cafeteria (in 2006), addition(s) to science pavilion/library annexe (. . .) among others! After his retirement many students continued involvement through numerous club meetings held throughout yearlong celebration culminating with Homecoming Weekend where Homecoming King & Queen are elected! No other school can lay claim to having been so instrumental or celebrated throughout history like RKA did!

The town began as a small frontier community in 1781 on land granted to General John Bridge by King George III of England. The area now includes most of what is now Spartanburg County and was an important economic center during the antebellum period. Its location made it vulnerable to Indian attacks and therefore it remained largely unoccupied during the American Revolution until 1796 when Patriot sympathizers from nearby Laurens attacked the British garrison here. During Reconstruction in South Carolina, Rock Hill became one of the largest black towns in America due to its large slave population. In 1879, white supremacists killed four African Americans who were building a railroad through town; this led to increased violence against African Americans throughout the 1880s and 1890s which contributed to declines in population over that time period. In 2000, Rock Hill was designated a National Historic District because of its importance as a historically black community and for its architecture including Masonic Lodge No. 1 (1872), Presbyterian Church (1897), Blacksmith Shop No. 2 (1901), Baptist Church (1909), United Methodist Church (1920) and Soldiers' HomeNo. 1 (1970).
